em]happy[/em]I had to run to Winn-Dixie today. I really don't like this store as it has lousy service and the produce & other perishable foods often look questionable. But, they had some great sales on non-perishables that I needed so I made the trip. First my acronyms: MC - manufacturer coupon BOGO - buy one, get one free OOP - out of pocket 2 Pepsi 18 pk - $5 each, less a MC for $1 - so $4.50 each 3 Hunts Snack Pack Puddings - $1 each less MC for $1, - so $0.67 each 2 Betty Crocker Family size brownie mixes - BOGO for $1.99 less MC for $0.50, so $0.75 each 2 BC Frosting - sale for $1.50 each, less 2 MC for $0.50 each - $1 each 2 BC Cake mixes - BOGO for $1.99 each, so $1 each 2 Nature's Own bread - BOGO for $3.59 so $1.80 each 2 Kellogg's Froot Loops - $2.50 each, less 2 MC for $1 each 2 Kellogg's Apple Jacks - $2.50 each, less 2 MC for $1 each Kellogg's cereals had a deal where you get $4 off when you purchase 4, so that made the cereals $0.50 each Total before sales & coupons would have been: $50.25 less coupons & sales $27.79 total OOP $22.46 Over 50% savings. This is how I shop all the time. I have written a book on how to save at the grocery store as well. I'd love to hear what deals you are finding!

I went to the store yesterday and bought $80 of groceries. After my coupons the total came to $59. Usualy I save at least 50% of the bill in coupons but my kids were sick and we bought a lot of fruit and produce, maybe a quarter of the total bill. I love a good deal. I need to go shopping tomorrow at a different store and I will buy $20 in groceries, after the coupons I think it will come up to less then $2 figuring in tax.

Great job! It's hard to hit 50% ALL the time without double coupons, or if you have to buy meat or produce. But if you can average 50% or more you're doing great! I actually wrote a book on how I save. It's on my profile page if you are interested in checking it out. Thanks for your response!
