Is there a saying that you used to say and now you hear your children saying it?

It is odd what is sent down the generations. The other day I heard my daughter tell her daughter (yes 2 years old) "manners cost nothing" a saying my Mum used to say to me if I forgot to say yes please and no thank you. I then kept an ear open and was very surprised at the things my daughter did pass on that was passed on to me by my mum. Do you have any?

"Anything worth doing is worth doing well" is what my grandma used to say and she was right. That's the only thing I remember but my son said, "let's not, and say we did" and I think of that a lot, especially when I want to eat more than I should or do something I shouldn't!
