What age do you think children should no longer use the following: 1) A pacifier? 2) A bottle? 3) Diapers? Feel free to add any experiences you've had with your own children or others' children.

The pacifier by a year. My daughter gave hers up at around 6 months. The bottle also a year. My daughter gave up the bottle at 10 months and she stopped using a sippy cup at 2 and a half. And I think they should be potty trained by 3.

My DD never really did care much for pacifiers. She had them but never got really into them. She preferred to suck on her two fingers and that was fine with us. I think once a kid starts cutting teeth, the paci has to go. I've been told that the sucking motion on the paci can cause a child's teeth to grow in crooked, causing trouble on down the line. As for the bottle, mine was weaned from the bottle at 9 months. It was a very easy transition for her. She was curious about the sippy cup and when she realized that it did the same thing as her bottle, she took to the sippy cup quickly. At that age I would think she would be more on table foods, and not wanting the bottle so much. She can still get her calories from milk, just in a different delivery system. As for the diapers, I want to make sure my DD is potty trained before she starts pre-school around the age of 3.
