Last month I quit from my job and then I take a break for myself.I think it's wondrful to be out after a long time of work.Everyone was working,So I went alone .I find it's great, you will feel more convient and you can spend time what ever you like,so free. But meanwhile,I felt a little lonely, you know, people around me were all friends or family togethter.I was in an ancient town,I love the atmosphere there, seems time will stop at that moment. So have you taken a travel by yourself?

Hi Vivian, like yourself I too took a break from work and went to this beautiful Blue Lagoon Beach at Port Dickson, Malaysia. The day I arrived i really enjoyed being alone and after the first night I started to miss my close friends! I thought, bringing along one friend would have broken the silence in my hotel room. Guess I didn't enjoy much when I travel alone. I enjoy sharing the experience with one friend atleast! So, no lonely trip in future!

wow you're so lucky. i wish i could just quit my job and go traveling on my own. i've never traveled on my own before unless its for business trips. but if for vacation purposes, never. my parents wont allow me to do that too- they worry about my safety and stuff. but i'd like to try to travel on my own someday!

Hi Vivianh, Haha,,we have the same name! Are you a chinese? I am a chinese, let me see, ancient town, is it Yun Nan province? Enjoy yourself there. When you feel you have enough rest, you still need to come back and find a new job to start over again. I am working now, i do want to travel, i think travel alone is cool when you are single, but it's dangerous when you are in a relationship. lol

yeah i did and felt pretty much like you did. i feels exhilarating to be out and alone and free to do whatever you do, on the other hand, it kinda feels lonely that you're not with someone.

Yes 90 percent of my jobs is alone and I use to it. I love working alone and traveling alone. Of course sometimes your work or travel with your family and co-workers/co-organization, friends, with girlfriend etc.Sometimes being alone is peaceful and meditation.

When I left my college, I went to a trip with a friend for a month but then the first thing happened at the first day of sight seeing was my wallet got stolen together with my passport. So, what we did was we split up where my friend continue his journey while I spent the rest of the month in France. It was lonely sometimes but more often it was free that I had all the time to do whatever I felt like to. Walked or not walk. Stay or not stay. All up to me.

yes i love to travel alone but the happiness is double when i'm with my family, i used to work in Middle East, and i left my mother, father, brothers, and sisters here in Philippines.Everyday i can't help myself to ring their cell phones and send a voice. while i'm enjoying the place in Middle East, i make a write, in every message stating my happiness, i send to my family in Philippines. It's good to reminisce those days, i'm alone in the dessert, here i see places never i could compare to other cities, camel walking in the streets, men in skirts, yeah some Arab men do wear this. There are a lot of delicious foods i taste, and with this experience travel alone would be a thing I would miss! Yet to be with my family is the best thing i could not forget! Enjoy here in mylot!^_^

In my younger days I loved traveling on my own. I didn't have very much money so stayed in youth hostels which I found to be really friendly places. I met other travelers from many different countries. I made a few friends from around the world. I was able to visit my friend that I met in Finland, she came from Australia. Going alone meant I was able to choose my route and my accommodation. I could stick to a sensible budget. I wasn't ever lonely for I met lots of other people. Now I travel with my toddler son. Being with him influences my travel plans like I have to stay in a guest house. This year I took him to South Africa which was fantastic. My last trip alone was to Bulgaria and Romania which I really enjoyed.

The first time I traveled alone was year 2006. I did not like it at all because I was afraid, so sad to leave my brothers at home since our parents were both in Mid East that time. I was really crying on the plane and I have never been feeling homesick all my life. It was the year that I decided to get married with my foreign fiance. So i went there alone although my parents knew about it so no problem. Anyway to make the story short, I got married and that experience of traveling alone had another story when I went back to my country for a vacation in year 2007, and this time even if I was alone, I was not feeling scared anymore.

I tried it before and it made me a little bit bored and I'm not able to enjoy it that much. Its very uncomfortable to travel alone so sometimes, I use to meet new people to kill the boredom. I cant enjoy the trip without someone to talk to. Even when I go to mall's alone to buy something, I usually ask someone to come with me. =)

I've experienced traveling alone last year and I didn't like it. Though it's good to have the liberty and the responsibility of doing things on your own & having to figure things by yourself, it still feels sad. It gets even more lonely when you have to ask random strangers to take your pictures - I hate looking at photos and I see just myself there. It's always good to have a companion with whom you can share your travel moments and memories with. I'd like to add though that one good thing about traveling alone is that you definitely become more sensitive to the things around you.

Yes i ahev travelled alone twice and thrice. Last year i have to go to a place in Haryana for an interview. That time only i have got call for interview. So none of my freind was ready to go with me. It was my first visit alone as well first visit to that palce. So i was scraed. I started travelling in the afternoon. By bus it was a very long journey about 15 hours. This travel was a very bad experience for me. And dont wanna remeber again.
