I love steaks, well for me it depends on what it is cooked on. Now when I cook it at home on the stove for the family it is well done because its the only way it taste good being cooked in the pan. Now when we go camping, my steak has to be grilled on the camp fire to where it is medium done, no blood but pink though. Now my dad is gross when he makes his. No matter where he eats steaks his has to be cooked for about 1 minute on each side to be bloody. Now that is a gross way to eat steaks. YUCK Happy Mylotting

I don't understand how people can eat like that. I'm glad that the only time I have to see my dad eat steaks like that is when my hubby and I takes my parents to dinner and that is once in a great while. I would think you could get sick from it, but who knows.

You can get sick if the meat has any bacteria there is not enough heat and cooking time to kill the bacteria. As long as the cooking environment is clean the meat is handled safely people should be OK, but if the meat exposed to bacteria you can get really sick. I guess to eat it rare you really have to trust those who are handling it, cooking, and the environment that it is.

Different steak different cooking, 7o% mature is quite good for the black pepper beefsteak, 80% mature is good for the T-bone steak, 60% is good for the Australian beefsteak, but can depend on personal taste. Generally, it is all right for the adult to eats medium, you will feel it is older if above 80% mature, but for the child, 80-90% ripe is most delicious, and that will be good for there stomach.

I like them as rare as is legally allowed. The bloodier the better. The flavor is in the blood if it is not bleading it is not as tender and it is not as flavorful. I like my steak nice and tender and really flavorful. If it has to bleed to be like that then so be it.
