Tonight there will be a Special on BET, which is the Black Entertainment Channel. It is an Award cermony which was scheduled for tonight to honor those in the Music, Sports, Acting and Other Industries. This ceremony was scheduled before Michael Jacksons death and has been purposely revamped to honor him by those that wished to pay special tribute to him. It will be airing tonight on the BET Channel, which may vary in the USA depending on your area. In NYS, where I live it is airing tonight at 8:00PM. There will be all types of musical tributes tonight that will be geared as a tribute to Michael Jackson. How do you think you will feel about this? They will be from some of the top entertainers of all times! Please let us know what you think the atmosphere will be like.

Hi celtic~ I'm not sure how many people even watch this channel. My boyfriend and I happen to watch it regularly. I just thought I would put it out there because I know that the music will be great as it would have been to begin with!

HI Opal darlin; I don't get those channels on my cable package or i'd be watching it too, I've watched a few other things on him but I'm so sick of them dragging up all the crap about the court cases and stuff again; Growing up listening to all of his music, and video's I liked those years of him you know? The last 10-15 years have just been "weird" of his life and I feel sad for him you know what I mean? His life was just really kinda tragic for one who was so popular and talented; Yes let us know how it goes will you??

Hi jan! I just finished watching the show. I gave a brief description under response #5. It was a pretty good show. His father and his sister Janet was there. There were some really nice song tributes. Jamie Foxx was the host and did some incredible tribuutes both speaking and singing. He did the finale with NeYo, who is one of my favorite performers. Janet gave a short speech that was heartbreaking and the Jamie and NeYo sang "Never Can Say Goodbye" and the crowd and me where brought to tear!

You are lucky enough that you could watch that tribute. I think it is a great Special to watch but here in the Philippines, I don't even know how to catch that. Anyway, Michael Jackson deserves such a tribute. His talent is exceptional and his music will remain unforgettable.

Hi salonga! See my response in #5. I described some of what the show was about. Michaels Father and younger Sister Janet were there. It was sad.

I don't really watch television much, unless it is the news. But, I think that it's a very nice and special thing to do. I think Micheal Jackson really made some huge advances for music.

Heyya Opal! I think it will be a celebration of his accomplishments and defiantly a tribute. I think that there will be people that cry and people that remember all he was to music. If I don't catch the show..I'll try to catch a rerun..I think they will show it again. I have been watching a lot on Michael Jackson lately. I liked him alot when I was younger but I hadn't thought about him in a long time. I do remember what he was to music though. Take care.

Hi Jen, It was done really nicely. It wasn't all about Michael. There were some incredible performances though. Jamie Foxx was incredible! He came out wearing a couple of Michael's outfits which made the crowd laugh! He also sang a few of his songs! He reall is an amazing singer which people forget because he is an actor and comedienne too! His tribute at the end of the show after Janet Jackson spoke was the one that was really upsetting. Jamie and NeYo (who is my favorite singer and won the Best Male Performer of the Year Award) sang "Never Can Say Goodbye" and that left the crowd in tears and me too! BET is repeating the show Tuesday and 6:30 my time, so I know that they will be repeating it a few times if you want to try to catch it! It was a great show! Beyonce won a few awards and won Best Video for "Single Ladies"! She also did an unbelieveable performance of one of her songs that I can't even describe! She is amazing!

Hey Opal. Saw a little bit of it when Janet was on stage. It was heart wrenching. You could feel the love she still and will always have for her brother. I want to watch it again; see the whole thing. Michael Jackson had loyal fans. There are those of us who will never forget him and will always honour what he gave to us. Thanks for posting.

Hi trinee! I think they are repeating it tomorrow at 6:30pm on BET. I'm not sure if I got that right! I know that they will probably repeat it a few more times! You really have to see some of the stuff Jamie Foxx did! He was incredible! He has an unbelievable singing voice too! My boyfriend has his CD and it is fantastic and he did a few songs from it! Did you see the finale with him and NeYo (who is my favorite performer and who won Best Performer Award) singing Never Can Say Goodbye! Now that was gut wrenching. That brought tears to many in the audience and to me too~

I think it will be divided, there will be those who choose to remember only the good and those who will only remember the bad.

Hey Opal26! I don't think I get this station but thank you for telling us about it, anyway. I watched "The Jackson Five: The American Dream" last night. It was good but it was so sad! He was so cute when he was little! He also went through a time when he looked good after he was grown, too. I also saw this movie when it first came out several years ago. Kathy.

Hey Kathy! I missed that! I wanted to see it! I guess I'll have to catch it the next time! He really was good looking, but he just didn't see himself that way because of what his father said to him all those years. That is truly sad.
