Best love story of all time?.... non fiction or fiction, it doesn't matter... who doyou think it was? Romeo and Juliet? Johnny and June? Edward and Bella? Brad and Angelina?

Love story? The most epic and so touching love story of all is "TROY" A person who fell in love with a woman that's so strong it started a war. A war of epic proportions...A war that left a nation on the brink of destruction. It proves what love does to people. They lose reason and proper way of analyzing things that it leads them to being irrational. Truly epic.

jamborieman, were you referring to Achilles and Briseis? I am not sure but I think the filmmakers only did that to make the heroic Achilles a little more human. In Homer's Iliad, there probably was not such a love story. Again, I have to check.

I think that one of the most memorable real lovy stories is that of 'Max and Helen' as portrayed in the non-fiction writing of Simon Wiesental. It is the true story of two people who are separated by the holocaust and then find themselves again many years after the war but cannot overcome past events to be together.

amanda, I do not know who Johnny and June, Edward and Bella are. Romeo and Juliet is tragic. Let us not qualify that because their story was in the courtship stage when it ended. Brad and Angelina is a love story in the making. Had they tied the knot? Sorry, I am not updated. For fiction, have you seen The Notebook? That is true love. For non-fiction, Paul Newman and his 50 year old marriage comes to mind.

I think it's amazing everyone has this perfect love story about "how our eyes met across the room and it was love at first sight and blah blah blah" It's never, and im guessing in alot of cases this wouldnt be far from the truth, "we were trashed! Drunken kiss, one night stand, now there's a kid involved, but honestly love each other really and are together for all the right reasons.."

wow... lol, not a lover huh?... yeah some are corny of course and while your idea of a love story may be true for some sad people, there really are people out there that fell in love before the rest of the stuff came along.. thanks for the comment
