Of which chicken lechon do you like more? Andoks or Baliuag?

Are these found in Cebu? I haven't eaten in both places but I want to try someday. Which do you think you would recommend to me?

If you are talking these stuff and you are in Manila or somewhere in Luzon, it might be possible to just talk about these two. I am also from Luzon, particularly Bulacan. So I am more of a Baliuag lover. But since I am already living here in Cebu, I tasted lots of different blend and brand of chicken. Baliuag is out of the place here and Andok's has just started, I guess. Xiong Xoon, Senyor Pedro, Chicken Inasal and more, that we can choose from. But I'll tell you, Andok's really taste better than others.

We don't have a Baliwag nearby so I am more familiar with the taste of Andoks litson manok. It is so tasty. It tastes better than other foreign roasted chicken. It is also accessible to passersby so whenever they feel hungry, they can buy it immediately.

I have not tried Baliuag since I have not seen any in our place. I think there are no branches yet of Baliuag in our area. Well, Andoks is great tasting. Sadly I cannot make a comparison since I have not eaten Baliuag chicken yet.

I prefer Andok's.I am trying to give up now and stick to fish.but I have tasted Andok's before.I find it so good.I love Andok's chicken with rice and cold Coke.it tastes much better than Baliwag's.

Baliwag! Chicken is cooked better there =) Great for quick "pulutan" remedy. hehe

I'm more familiar with Andoks' than Baliwag Lechon. I guess it's because Andoks' has been introduced to me since I was little and it's been our family's choice for years. I'm still open to Baliwag and whichever chicken that would give me food satisfaction wins.. hehe.

hi there! i have tasted both but i prefer Andoks! i like its sauce and the chicken is really good...when i am still in manila, its really popular among the others...but now that i am here in Cebu, i think Andoks is not as popular coz there's so many other "lechon manok" available here which tastes are also really good and cheaper than the branded one... one of the most popular here i guess is the Sr Pedro. very much different to our Andoks coz they have no sauce like Andoks...their sauce is just a soy sauce with vinegar...but it also tastes good! i also taste one local chicken lechon here and i can say that its one of my favorites! its really tasty and the spices are very good! well its not available in the whole cebu, its just in this one town here and the store is just a small one...i remember when i first tasted it...my husband and i eat all whole chicken and empty a liter of coke...(partnered with puso) Puso is a rice cooked in i think its a coconut leaves....not sure but its good, counterpart of our "binalot" in banana leaves... ooops! i think i have said too much...you're just asking about Andoks and Baliuag... i'm sorry, i just can't help my self sharing other lechons...because "lechon manok" or "inasal na manok" is really my all time favorite...so everytime i saw a new one...i wanted to try it always! have a nice day!

In taste, I rank them equal but since Baliwag Lechon is cheaper than Andoks by 20 pesos (or even more), then I'll choose Baliwag.. Same delicious taste and yet, cheaper price..

I like both, because they both taste good. But, I am very picky on their sauce/gravy. Hehehe.

Between the two, i like andoks than baliuag. But i love eating and i love chicken so i like them both. lol =D

Hello to you. It seems that all Filipinos are really fond of Lechon Manok. If I were to choose from the two, I would prefer Baliuag. I prefer the taste, it is tastier. I also like the sauce, they really give that much to their customers. One thing is that Baliuag is nearer where we live than Andoks.

Well i choose Andoks coz when i was small my father always buys me Andoks Chiken, but Baliwag also good and one more is there anyone taste "Bugong" Roasted Chiken? Well it makes me hungry... Happy mylotting to all!

Only Filipinos can relate to this discussion. Your question is which between Andoks or Baliuag is my choice. Well dear, Andoks is more tasty even their sauce is more superior than other roasted chickens around. However I find the preparation not really very healthy. I could see how ashes would fly around the chicken as they are being cooked so now I've learned to just roast my own chicken at home. Anyway I have an oven so I just have to spend a little effort to make my own and I can be sure it is even more tasty and better yet the preparation is certainly clean and safe.

Hi there kababayan, well definitely Andoks just ate chicken from Andoks yesterday. Here in our place we dont have Baliuag chicken but i saw already some stores in other place but i dont have a chance a chicken from them. So right now i am stick to Andoks, yup your right its delicious chicken plus the sauce. Maybe if i will have a chance to eat chicken from Baliuag i will compare the taste and finally choose what's the best chicken here =) ... Keep on posting good discussion and happy mylotting =)

I haven't Baliuag lechon, but they say its good too. So for me I choose Andok's, I love their chicken lechon match with atsara, and the liempo with mang tomas. Hmmmm... Delicious!
