I am in the Philippines, living in Cebu. Our ISP at home is Globelines Broadband, and it sucks sometimes. There are times when they are out of service, won't connect for a couple of days and when it does, more often that not the connection is low. But when it comes to online gaming (mmorpg), it doesnt lagg very much and that's what matters to us because we play a lot. teehee ^_^ Other than that, we also download a lot of torrent and I think the speed is okay. I guess. LOL By the way, their customer service on the phone is bad. Just goes to show that most of the operators are noobs. @_@ PS. Sky Broadband? This is the first time I have heard of this ISP. Which province do they provide service? Is it affordable? Up to 12mbps is SO cool. Wish we have it here. @_@

Well Sky Broadband use Cable line not like DSL that uses phone line the owner is Sky Cable if you have a SkyCable in your place then SkyBroadband must be available. Another info the SkyBroadband 12Mbps is around 5K per month.

oh yeah yeah. i remember now. cable internet is way faster. that's what they use abroad right? ^_^ i think sky broadband has not been introduced here in cebu coz it costs so much. 5k??? i mean, that's our electric + telephone bill. @_@ but i guess it's worth it. then again, not really sure coz it depends on the area. @_@ thanks for the information dear. i'll try asking someone if they've heard about skybroadband here in cebu. thanks again! ^_^ PS. dont forget to rate and comment! thanks! happy MYLOTTING! =)

yes that's true, SKY provides 12mbps connection but does it really work? I mean, they are just in figures yet you'd still have to observe if you're getting that some kind of bandwidth. I am personally subscribed as well in our local cable provider as I believe that cable internet is the most reliable connections of all time as data is being transmitted via fiber optics cable.

My favorite, fastest ISP anywhere has been Time Warner Cable. It really was superfast, and pretty reliable. Their customer service started out pretty good, but gradually became awful. We have DSL through our phone company now, since TWC isn't available in this area now, but it's not nearly as fast. I miss Time Warner Cable! Bobbie

For me, SmartBro is the best ISP so far. The reason is because wireless internet is faster than DSL. I guess maybe it's because we have so many cell sites near our house and that makes better redundancy for their service. I haven't had any major complains yet so I would say SmartBro is my choice.

I havent tried any ISP other than Bayantel. SO far I am satisfied with their service especially when they upgraded the speed of their basic plan from 384Kbps to 768Kbps. Their customer service are courteous and their response is quick.
