Apple vs. Windows

I have been using Windows since I learned how to use computers. For almost 10 years Windows is the one that I know how to use until I moved to Switzerland, people here are fond of using Apple computer. At first it was really complicated because I was used to Windows but after a while, I have learned that it is really manageable and the icons are arranged in a very synchronize way. For me, both companies showed extraordinary programs and applications but we have to accept the fact the still Windows are more appealing to the public because of its user friendly plus the price itself.
Apple or Windows?

hello yuansplace... currently im using windows vista.. i'm actually familiar using windows but i want to try something with using apple or mac.... my friend says it's beautiful... i know that many computer user i this world using windows as os because it user friendly.. i prefer using apple in the future.....

WOw. I can really understand that it is always good to try something new and the fact that you have not tried Apple before and you wanted to try it in the future is a good idea. At least you can compare which one has more advantage of using not mentioning the price. Anyways, why is it the Apple is more expensive while not many people use it. And why is it that Windows is not that expensive while they can actually increase their price but still people will buy the products because of its user friendly applications..Anyways, that is another topic. I might post a related topic on these.

I had been using Windows version since i know how to use computers. Because my area is more popular with windows version. Even in the market, there are more softwares with Windows version than in Apple version. I ever tried once using my aunt's Apple version laptop and found it's abit difficult to use since it's not really user friendly in certain area. So, i still prefer to use Windows version since the price is even cheaper as well.

We have the same experience from the start about using windows and at the same time, introduced to Apple. Yes, I still prefer Windows because it gives me more opportunities to explore and discover things in an easy way. Unlike in apple, some applications are really complicated. Until now, I am still learning its features and I only stick and use those applications that I know if and I never mind those applications stalled in this computer that I really can`t undertand at all. At the same time, I am not using an English version of this MAC computer. Instead, I am using a German version and sometimes, I have more difficulty in understanding what is says when I press something. But all in all, I am lucky to have a computer anyway to surf and gain more information. Kudos to both companies.

In my opinion i will choose totally windows if i must choose between this one and apple!!First because windows is much more cheap than apple and so functionalities i think they are quite equal..so surely some things are better on apple and another on windows but it is not justified from the apple price and its functionalities as os as well!!
So as regards aple i don't like also their policy that pose limits to users using apple products!!So if you choose apple you must use only apple and softwares apporved only by apple..so i think this is not really smart seeing that now there si a great discussion about open softwares and sources and so apple have a ld view for tthis point view..so if you use a mac you must pay ,pay and pay also after your really expensive computer as well!!
So i think windows is a property os too and so have prices even for professional softwares but they are much more freeware available for this os and also a better user interface!!So i think i will choose windows lastly..normally apple don't appeal to me very much for its products and softwares too!!

The windows will really win over apple. Yes it is true about the price difference and its user friendly features. Again, apple users limits their user to stick to related products or else, you can`t use some features at all. Thank you very much for your comment regarding these two big companies of computers. There is no doubt that windows will win over the other.

I have used both during my university times. I prefer windows as it is a cheaper option as compared to apple. Also, most of the softwares and programs are fully compatible with windows; however some of them are not compatible with apple, so there is always a question whether this new thing will get installed properly on apple or not. So, I am with windows.....Cheers...
