i have recently discovered this lost art and it is a great way to recycle things! i just bought a wood bowl from a thrift store and have a bunch of recycled random music sheets and will be using this bowl for a wedding present for a co-worker that is getting married in the fall. next, i think i will decopauge a table! how about you? have done anything in the lines of recycling anything for arts sake?

No I have not done decopauge. I think the completed projects I've seen have been great. Sounds like a very interesting gift you are making. Hopefully you can share a photo when the gift is complete. I'd love to see it.

I have not recycled to that extent but what a brilliant idea.My armchair is going home so I have decided to cover it.At the moment searching for a material I like that will suit the room.I did paint and grain my kitchen cupboard doors as they were looking very tired, not sure I have the talent to change something like you did,but who knows this might be just the hobby for me,give everything a chance thats what I say.

well i have tried reusing many junks/used products to create artwork when i was a kid. Now i don't have the time nor the patience to create any form of art - but i do like this idea of eco-friendly art. But we do make dolls of the small chocolate wrappers and we recognized it as art and have been passing it on generation after generation :)
