I think they should've because it's a rarity right now. It would make one dollar bills easier to conserve and save.

First, why is it that you want to "conserve" one dollar bills? Are they in danger of extinction? Also, can't you save your money in other denominations?

The $2 bill was nice, but it doesn't make much sense to have a 2 dollar bill when we have a 1 dollar bill. It makes more sense to have the units the way they are. 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 etc.

Show Me the Money - A stack of U.S. paper currency
The 2 dollar bill was nice when it was out, but I can understand why they quit making them. So many people who were not use to having the 2 dollar bills, were using them as a 1 dollar bill in error. Plus, it was just another domination of bills to keep track of. It is the same with the Susan B Anthony dollar. Even though they are still in circulation, they aren't very common, because those also get mistaken for quarters and/or half dollars. So, if you have a 2 dollar bill, hang on to it... because some day it just might be a collector's item.
