Just an update on me

Most of my Friends here know of my Illness and have been here for me and still are
Well I just wanted to update you all as I do not write much about it any more for more then 1 reason.
As most of you know the Doctor I have here is rubbish, well after 2 years of fighting, I am back under a Lung Consultant, and guess what? He is wonderful, he has now put me on Medication that should prevent the amount of Infection I have on the Lungs, he has also given me Tablets to regularly bring up all the rubbish in the Lungs, as that is one reason of the Infections I have been getting, it has been staying there and of course the Infections where staying in my Lungs.
I have just been through all the tests again, as he wanted everything updated, the Medication is helping, it has also got rid of the Infection that had been there since before Christmas, so now I will not need to see this Doctor here any more as such, she also got in trouble as she nearly overdosed me. I get a copy of Letters sent to her for my Medical File here at home for the Nurses, so I knew that these Tablets I am only to take 1 Tablet 3 x a week , when I went to get them she had prescribed as in 1 Tablet 3x A DAY , the maximum on these Tablets in a severe Case is 1 Tablet 2x a Day, if I would not have been aware of it I would have been in Hospital within 48 hours fighting for my Life
I am also now under a Gastric Consultant, since I had my Gall Bladder removed I have had a lot of Problems
Again ignored at first 2 months ago rushed to Hospital at night being on the drip for 5 hours to stop me being sick, Xrays showed my Bowls are not emptying even though I was going to the Toilet up to 20 times a Day
Well I have to have Blood tests again and also now take Medication for it, then go back in 3 months and if it is not working then I will have to go through a lot of tests
The Consultant believes it is due to the removal of my Gall Bladder as this can happen, as the Gall Bladder clears before hitting the Bowls well there is no Gall Bladder now to do this, it happens in rare caes and again I might have to go on Meds for this for the rest of my Life
But all in all I am not being cared for PROPERLY after 2 1/2 years of suffering
Thank you to all my Friends who have always been here for me from the start of joining here and now
I have had this illness now 7 years and a lot of you have always been here and picked me up one way or another
To make it a Discussion, have you got wonderful Friends like this?????I know I have and am so grateful for having them

I am so glad that you finally got a Doc that cares!
I like you never liked that other one seemed like she never did anything to help.

Were you stuck with that awful doctor because of the health care system? I'm just so glad you got a nice lung consultant. Getting someone to actually listen is the best feeling in the world to me. At least when it comes to a doctor. Some doctors it feels like I'm beating my head against a brick wall!

Dearest Gabs, I am so grateful to have you as a friend. While you have been fighting for your life and going through all of your own problems, you have always had time to be there for me. You cheer me up when I am down. You make me smile when I just want to cry. You tell me wonderful stories about Gissi. I have never met you in person but I love you so much. You are a good friend. Thank you for being my friend.

Sweetie that is what Friendship is about specially under the Circumstances you and I became Friends lol I will never forget that
How are you doing anyway let me know by Mail as I have not heard from you in a long time

Oh my gosh! I knew you were ill, but I had no idea of the exact nature of your illness. This sure sounds terrible, and you are really great for being able to put up with so much. And you are always so cheerful and so sweet. You are a real darling Gabs. I know all these things might never heal, but still...I wish you better health. Love to Gissi!

Hi Sweetheart not many People do know how sick I really am, they see me as me because I am not willing to give up I did the first 12 months I just did not want to go through anymore but I got through it with the love of my Children and my wonderful Man now and then later with Friends on here
Don't get me wrong I have moments and some Friends have seen/ heard me cry, despair and wishing it was not there but I always get back up when I fall down, the first time in my Life I am being loved, cared and respected by a wonderful Man who stands by me no matter what, I have my Children, Gissi and wonderful Friends like you and for all them I will always be Gabs the way I am now

First of all, how is Gissi doing? I hope she feels better.
Now Since we hadn't met back when you talked about your illness, If you don't mind I'd like to know. We can PM if you'd like. Or if you don't want to talk about it, that's OK. I'm glad your lung infection is gone. My hubby has COPD, so I know how difficult it can be.
As for wonderful friends, Mylot has provided me with the best friends ever!! They support me in everything that happens to me. I can't ask for more. Hugssss

Gissi is just fine, but still has to be careful but doing great and back to his self lol
I have COPD Emphasimia and Asthma I was diagnosed 7 years ago and they thought then that I had already had it for a while I got bullied out of my Job, I fought them, made myself sicker, had a break down, I won but they did not pay what they should have, I was not strong enough to take them to court, my Doctor said no as it would finish me of, I am now on Anti Depressants, which they tried to get me of a couple of times on my request, it does not work, I get really bad
Basically the Illness just topped with everything I had been through all my Life and fought and carried on but the Doctor said my Body was tired
Then she informed me that I was not fit enough to go back to work, that broke me more, I have always been active and after that well just everything seems to happen lol
But I am still a Fighter and no matter what I will keep fighting

Oh Leenie I am so sorry to read this
See this is another thing that I will do to keep myself above I always think there are People worse then me and that I need to buck up
When I first got it I was looked after well, 2 years ago I moved here and the Doctor here well I will say no more but now after a 2 year fight with her and to keep myself going I won and I am back under a Consultant and within 5 weeks he had me feeling more comfortable I was born with Chronic Bronchitis and suffered in the winter but dealt with it got over it and never stopped my active Life but this knocked me

Well Sweetie,
You just keep on fighting!! My hubby has COPD, emphezema, and Asthma as well. He's had asthma since he was a little boy. The rest has been long before I met him. He does well with the meds. he takes.
I am so glad you have a good Pulmonologist now. I too have a good one. I get shortness of breath all the time and he tested me to make sure it wasn't my lungs. As it turned out I have a leaky Tricuspid Valve in my heart. I've already had 2 open heart surgeries, once to repair and 2nd to replace my Mitral Valve. I also have a Pacemaker. But he Spinal Stenosis is what disabled me in the first place.
What would we do without Mylot and the wonderful friends we've met to care about us and and that we care about? Keep us informed gabs because we often get wrapped up in our own lives and forget to ask. Hugsssssss

Glad to hear about the consultant. It sounds like the doctor should be disciplined, at least. That could have been a fatal mistake.

I do not know what will happen to her but I have been told by some People here that she should retire for 3 years apparently she has said she will retire and then changes her mind
I do not know will happen with her but I do know that the Consultant was not a Happy Person

I'm so happy to hear you have doctors that are actually helping you now. In answer to your question - yes I do have friends like that, you are one of them. All the 'junk' I've been through the last few years you've always been there to pick me up and encourage me forward - and Gissi is always good for a laugh :) I so love that little dog :)

I am so happy to see you 'here,' and am thankful that you have a wonderful lung consultant now. Your female doctor sounds just horrible. She shouldn't even be practicing medicine! I do so hope that they finally get things all straightened out for you, so that you'll be feeling much better. Please hang in there, and I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm glad too that Gissi is feeling so much better.
I'm here at my sister's now with my daughter, for at least a week. It's great to be on holiday, and we may stay a couple of days extra, instead of returning home on Sunday. We arrived here this past Sunday evening, after celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday, and also mine. She was born the day after my '40th,' and my birthday is June 27th, and her's is the 28th.
I hope too that your daughter is doing okay now, and am pleased that she's there spending some time with you.

Hi there Mom, I am so glad that you are taking a break
Your Birthday is 7 Days after mine lol
My Daughter is doing ok and she has had good news to before getting on the Train, sh has been at long last promoted to Manager so she is happy as she has worked hard for this very hard
You know me Mom, I will fight and I will get there
I am so happy to see you here and you know that you are special to me and that I love you

Hi gabs,
I am so sorry that you have been suffering all these years and you having that stupid doctor who doesen't know what she is doing, should be struck off as she could have killed you, I hope now that you are getting looed after you will feel better soon. Yes friends here in mylot land is wonderful as they have showd that they care and some has become close to me as you have my friend and I am so thankful, its good to know thatat there is. Well for the first time since before Christmas I am feeling Human and able to do things a bit longer
I have been so down and scared at times I just wondered if someone was ever going to care enough to sort this, the Nurses tried their best and have been wonderful, now thy will only get instructions from the Consultant and report to him, the thing is I told this Doctor when I moved here that I needed a Lung Consultant as I had been under one since I first got Diagnosed, she told me quite abruptly that I did not, and from there it went downhill, leaving me for 10 months in agony with my Gall Bladder has not helped, again I had to demand to have scans done and see a Surgeon, who then got me asap, the Stress from the Pain has affected the Lungs to, I would never wish that Pain on anyone
But now I am certainly better and can walk a bit further without stopping
