It might sound stupid, but how many of you sell your articles on your own website or at a forum? And when you do sell an article to a client that is interested, how to you send them the article?? I know stupid question, but I'm interested....

Hi Dear! I do not see any articles through any forum or website and nor do I like forwardeding referral links to others for my own beenfit. You can try amazon.com or e-bay, there you could find the information regarding selling and purchasing items through on-line methods.

thanks, I don't like doing the referral links either, I do want to start my own atricle writing business though. I know it can be done, but I just need to know the step to get there. Thank you for your response

I dont sell articles thoruhg a forum or my own website. I do accept upfront payment for my articles from associated content. Most of the articles that I have written for them I have submitted them as nonexclusive meaning that I retain the rights to republish the article wherever I want. I really enjoy this article writing site.

I only write for Helium and Associated Content, so the format is dictated. Perhaps if you want to sell articles independently, you should got on a site like Elance and see what format they are requesting. Most people use Microsoft Word and I am sure a plain text format (what appears when you send an email) would work. No doubt what would cause problems in selling an article is a lot of formatting. Most publishers would feed the text into another program to format it, add typeface and other highlights (like bold and italic). The less that you have in an article, the better. I would assume if someone is buying an article from you, they would specify the format for you. Good luck with your business.
