It's going to be amazing! The only thing that I have to question is Anne Hathaway. The girl can't act her way out of a paper sack with a map. And the direction he's going with the story is a little peculiar but he's brilliant with peculiar so I am eager to see what becomes of the love affair between Alice and the Mad Hatter (just in case anyone was wondering why the actress playing Alice is 18 instead of 11, that's why). Otherwise, the cast is incredible. I found what is listed as a fan-made trailer for the movie on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNMCjW7MOlU

I don't remember now where I read that but yeah there's supposed to be something romantic and/or lustful between Alice and the Hatter. Based on that "trailer" I found it looks a little like Return to Oz where Dorothy went back and everything had been destroyed and there was a wicked king ruling Oz... but instead of getting younger like Dorothy did (Judy Garland's Dorothy was 15 or 16, Fairuza Balk's Dorothy was like 8...huh?) Alice got older too.

Tim Burton is a genius, so of course it will be worth watching. Maybe he doesn´t stick to the original story, but the special effects, the sound, the images, everything is always awesome when tim burton is directing. I defintely don´t have any doubt that it will be worth watching it.

Thanks oudine2! I'm not going to watch it in the theater though. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat and watching weird, freaky movies at the cinema house make them seem too real-life for me. Haha!

This is the first I have heard of this movie. I think Tim Burton is amazing. I'm sure it will be great. His films always look amazing in a dark way. That's what I like about them. I think his unique twist on the storyline will be cool to see. I'm going to have to look around the internet and find out more about this movie.

I think it will be. And yes, it will have a bit of a dark element in it since it's Tim Burton at the helm, but I'm pretty optimistic that I'm going to love it. Or maybe I'm just biased since I am a big fan of Alice in Wonderland! I've read great comments from one who've been to the advanced screening, so I'm really looking forward to it!
