not at all happy with budget...

hi Subha, yesterday mylot was sooooooooo slow that I could not posts any reply…but I badly wanted to comment on this post of your and cry with you. Is this a budget for a nation where majority are middle class??!!! They have solutions for farmers, for rural poor, for urban poor and for the rich (of course) but NOTHING for the middle class! What crap is this? they have reduced the prices of big luxury cars and LCD TVs!!! And majority of us cant even buy potatoes and eggs.. They are waiving loans of farmers and increasing fertilizer subsidy…all that is good! But from where is the money coming for so much agrarian subsidy…govt is just leeching the private sector middle class to fill its coffers for populist measures and increasing the salary of its own employees. And just imagine people with income above Rs 10 lakh wont have to pay any additional tax…this means such people are earning around Rs 1lakh p.m…how many household in India have that much income Subha? And if these rich people do not pay any extra tax, are we the meagerly paid middle class to pay all the taxes and then go to the market with half empty purses and come back without buying anything worthwhile just because we can no longer afford to buy anything good! As a wife and mother and a family income of Rs. 25000/- p.m. I am already struggling to make both ends meet…and this in a family of only 3 people and then we don’t lunch during the day, so we are eating only one time i.e. dinner. So with only dinner and breakfast and school/office tiffin, this is the condition! What about people with two or three kids or parents…I think the govt is determined to wipe off the middle class…only the ultra rich and the ultra poor will survive.

I am not satisfied with the budget either. Everything is so expensive and the more you make, the more the governement takes in taxes. It is hard to make a living these days.

Oh that's really bad......I was out the whole day and just logged in, I have to check the news to find out more about the budget......it is really a sad thing that it happened......
