Upgrade the ratings system to identify the attackers........

There is alot of talk about people joining myLot just to antagonize the MyLotters who are here for real. People have begun to report that they are being attacked or that their discussions are being used to promote or advertise. I have also been receiving private messages with the subjest saying its urgent or they need help and when I open its advertising a site or asking me to join another so they can be paid. Then I can quit the site if I want. COME ON PEOPLE! What the F***? Most of us dont want to advertise or attack.If you arent sure? Start an entire discussion on it.Why you dont is because IT IS AGAINST THE RULES!!!! I think we should join together and ask myLot to add a ratings system in which we are allowed to give our opinion on a persons realness. If your a true myLotter you will know that we dont attack. We dont advertise unless we ask. What do you think we can do to separate the Mylotters from the Im Notters. I am really upset that our friends are being attacked or unnecessarily harrassed. dl

It is upsetting but agree with what some others said already - being 'particular' about your friends is one way to cut back on the 'junk messages', first time I get one that I haven't requested they are off my list... Also, I DO NOT accept friends requests if they have not responded to at least one of my discussions - these people are doing nothing but collecting friends to promote to.
As for the other side of it, discussions being deleted and such I really do wish that myLot could investigate the 'issue' before the discussion is deleted. I know with as many members as there are here it would be very difficult but I know a lot of veterian members who are spending less and less time here because of 'why put in the time if it's just going to get deleted for no reason'.

I really don't know - I know one time I came across a member that every single discussion they posted was plagerized from other sites, word for word, I copied the link to the originals into each notice when I reported them, the next day all that I reported were removed but the ones I hadn't done were still there - even though those were also 'stolen'... I got the impression they just deleted based on what I provided.

Is there like a mod system or something? or do we have to do all the work ourselves and then when whoever is in charge gets all the complaints then they just delete?

I get a few emails asking me to join these wonderful sites just so someone can get the referral fee,I just ignore them.Haven't had any hurtful things yet we must report them as it is good on here genuine people who like to have a chat or a laugh.We must all be vigiliant.

So far I have never experienced any of the situations you describe. Perhaps it is because I never give out my personal email address and as I rarely accept new friends until I have thoroughly checked them out I do not get any strange or unwelcome PMs. However if you feel such a rating system would protect genuine myLotters then I am all for it.

I have heard alot about this happeneing in Mylot recently also. That is why I do not respond to comments from people on discussions anymore. some of them can be so rude. I wish we could do something about them also.

I just ignore the 'rude' ones and give them a - rating, kinda have fun doing that both on my discussions and those of my friends. Never used to do this but it's been so bad lately I actually take joy in doing it :)

Mainly it's your friends list, you can't get messages unless your friends with the PURP. choose your friends wisely, don't just accept friends request because they ask, go to their
profile and see what they've been up to! If you do get a friend that's bothering you, just delete them ASAP! tdemex

These trolls are also terrible when it comes to creative insults! bah!
