I've spent 5 years studying for my M.Ed. yet I still haven't got my scroll. Why? Because my supervisor has been too busy with her own Ph.D. studies to check on my thesis. Hey look! I'm a part time master's student, full time faculty member (I teach in a private university), and I've to fork out my own money to pay the tuition fees. On the other hand this supervisor gets a 3-year study leave, fully paid by the government (she teaches in a public university). I've corresponded with the Dean twice but there was no response - idiot! In the end I had to file an application for a monthly extension, which means as long as my thesis has not been checked, I'll not be able to graduate. Should I scream at the top of my lungs or cooly wait for the outcome? What would you have done?
