If you were to get paid to refer people to a website, would it appeal to you?

Just curious. I was thinking of starting something where people can refer people to my website and I would pay them a certain amount depending on the activity of the members they bring in, and as long they're bringing members and not trying to game the system. Would this appeal to you? Where would I go to promote this idea for free to get people to help me bring in members? etc. Do you think it would be worthwhile? Think it would work at all? Have any other kind of incentive I could do to bring members to my website? You can check it out in my profile if you aren't familiar with it but plain and simple it's a place where people can promote their given website for free by attaching a payment proof and their referral link if they would like, as well as being allowed to promote their own personal website/blog if they wanted to, or even their business website for free. Thoughts?

Well yeah but where would I go about to do this, asking people to help promote and paying them x number of dollars depending on how active the referrals are? I have some ideas in mind but I need more then just those some. Anything you might have in mind would be great.

I think a lot of sites do pay people to refer others to join their site. I personally do not invite people to join me unless I have proof that the site actually does pay. All I say is that the site paid me, I don't guarantee anything else. So if the people I invited wanted to take the risk too and join the site under me then good, we can both earn together in that particular site.
