Losing Virginity at Specific Time

There are girls who wish to lose their virginity at a specific age. I wonder is there a reason for this? I have watched a movie and in that movie the teenage female character told her boyfriend that she didn't want to die a virgin.
What's your comment on this? Does it happen only in movies?

I think that there are girls who wish to lose their virginity at her birthday or boyfriend's birthday,and meeting day between they are.
Not only in movies ,but also in reality.
