Ever ask urself why a vampire has no reflections in the mirror?

It will be too painfull.To see himself year after year century after century,unchanged while everything around him grows old.To search for love but to know it's always just out of reach.
Because to be human is to die.To die is what makes life worth living.
Since iam on the vampire Sudject just like to add that i can't wait for twilight saga New Moon to be out

no i haven't asked myself why does a vampire have no reflection. but i love the explanation. i wish i would of asked myself just to see what i would say. and i think it sucks in a way that they can't see there reflection because how are you suppose to know if your hair looks nice or how cute you are that day. you always have to rely on other people and i couldn't trust anybody they might try to make me look stupid. and i can't to number 2 movie ether i hope its good!

Well, lets see. Silver is supposed to be fatal to vampires and the reflective surface in a mirror is made from a silver compound so in that case, the vampires image is destroyed by the silver in the mirror so that there is no reflection. How about that for an explanation?

I have never with a vampire in front of a mirror before, can not be very sure there is no reflection on him. if that is true, i can understand why. Just look at him yourself in the movie, there is really no need for him to look at himself in the mirror, since he doesn't need to comb his hair, tiny out his face, put on make up since he is pale enough, and probably is a good thing for him too as he will not get to creep out if he get to see his own image appear in the mirror, so long as he got the magic power in him, his looks really doesn't matter much in getting whatever female he want to be his mate and then blood bank later.

No, I never asked myself about that issue. When it comes to western vampire, the only things that make me wonder is why they're afraid of garlic? Because of the smell? In my belief, ghost or spirit will not be intimidated by any smell, let alone garlic.
In my opinion, vampire has no reflection due to the fact it's a spirit/ghost. Ghost/spirit don't have reflection in the mirror.
