What do you mean,,,,,, I can't pee here?

I have to make rest stops a lot and when in Vegas with my husband in 2005 I had no problem using restrooms in gas stations and 7-11 type places. I will also walk into restaraunts and just the rest rooms, I just don't let anyone know I'm not a customer. Of course, I'm 38 - 35 at that time but I know when youger, how I was treated depended on how I was dressed. I had this one army coat that a friend had given me after painting it - it was beautiful but decidedly - alternative - and I sometimes paried it with favourite pair of ripped jeans, when wearing this ensemble I was either given the cold shoulder - completely ignored in stores - even when those ahead of me are greeted or been treated downright rudely. Conversely when I dressed in my usual way, pretty dresses, kind of half classy half gypsy/artsy -Jonathon Martin and the like and a nice coat people bent over backwards to be nice to me - greetingme, smiling, chatting etc. Bus drivers gaeme free rides and even dropped me off right in front of my destination even when not a specific bus stop, at carnivals, even when I didn't win I was often given stuffed animals anyway. Like that.

I worked at a place where our bathroom was limited to employees too.. but there was a very good reason for it. you wouldn't believe how nasty some people are! and the employees had to clean up after these hogs! it was ridiculously nasty! it was so bad that I can't even tell you! You could clean this restroom and within 30 minutes it was worse than the first time it was cleaned.. I learned to "hold it" until I got home! I hate going somewhere and ask for a bathroom and told it's only for employees.. even knowing the reason behind it! it's terrible that a few slobs ruin it for everyone.

That is silly to have to run all over town to take a pee cause they won't let you..there are alot of places here in my town that doesn't have public restrooms but if you have a kid they will let you use since they don't want to have to have a cleanup in the aisle. It happened this way because of alot of people disrespected the use of the public toilet and ruined it for others who are innocent. I have went to bathrooms before and someone had loaded the toilet with all kinds of paper towels, toilet paper and then tried to flush it and it over flowing..and other stuff in it..we should treat public toilets like we would our own. But it is that reason that others don't is why we get our toilet privileges taken away.

In NY State, it is illegal to have consumable on-site food and/or drink and not have a customer accessable bathroom. So I only buy from places that have bathrooms they allow customers to use. Most gas stations where I live in the North Country of NY State allow you to use their bathrooms, but in some cases, you wouldn't want to (gag!). See what the laws in your state say. Call around and find out where they allow bathroom use and only frequest those places. To heck with the rest, they don't deserve your patronage, but they should share your ticket!

Hello, I think is wat is even worst , is when you are a customer at a store , and you have to use the restroom while you are eaither at the counter paying for your merchandise and you ask the store clerk if you can use the restroom, and they tell you sorry the restroom are not for customers they are only for employess, now that is the strangest thing I have ever heard, well one of the strangest things I have ever heard, now in my opinion if I can't use your restroom and I'm shopping at your store, I need to find a store to shop at that I fell more comfortable at that, will allow me to use the restroom when I have to , while I'm a customer at their store. Here in our country, gas stations and restaurants have comfort rooms wherein costumers are free to use. Everyone can pee and it's normal nothing personal.

I think every public place, retail store, restaurant, grocery store, pharmacy, should have a restroom that is open to the public. As we get older, we can no longer hold it as well as we could when we were younger, and that should be a well known fact for all those business owners. If there isn't in the place that I am at, I drop everything and leave.
