Your hungry, but NOTHING sounds good to you....

Ever had this problem? That is my dilemma right now. I am hungry, my stomach is growling, but I cannot decide what to eat because nothing sounds good to me right now. I have some leftover chili, cold pizza, all sorts of stuff I can cook, some frozen dinners, fruit......but nothing jumps out at me as something I WANT to eat. Would you just grab something anyway since you are hungry or wait till something sounds good?

hunger or thirst - from current.com/items/89543936_mistaking-thirst-f...

The next time you’re tempted to reach for a snack, try asking yourself, “Could I actually be thirsty?” Many of us mistake thirst for hunger, thinking we want food when what our bodies really need is a drink of pure water. So we overeat, and leave our bodies still thirsting.

Proper hydration is one of the keys, not only to staying fit and healthy, but to looking and feeling our best, as well. Find out what Dr. Cousens, a renowned nutritionist, has to say about the connection between water and health. We also offer you a great formula for energizing the water you drink. It’s all here:

If you avoid dehydration, you can avoid overeating. As Dr. Cousens says, “When you start to hydrate by drinking enough water, then your appetite goes down because you’re actually fulfilling what your body needs—which is water. And that’s also a very powerful way to lose weight, but also, in a sense, the hydration makes everything, including your brain, work a lot better.”
this oftentimes happens to me when i hadn't had my 8 glasses of water in a day. i drink every two hours to meet it. try drinking water first and then decide what you really want to eat. it's your mind sending mixed signals of hunger and thirst. deal with the thirst first since we're more water than muscle then choose what you want .

I would just wait til I was hungry and settle for something. I think with the items you have mentioned I would just go with the item with the shortest shelf life *LOL* That way an item that doesn't have a long time til it's icky will not be wasted. Or just make it a free for all and have a lil of this or that or whatever leftovers that are still eatable.

I think it depends how hungry I am and what mood I am in, sometimes if I feel very hungry, I can just grab something and fill up myself a little bit; sometimes if I don't feel alright, I won't feel like eating anything...

Sometimes I'm hungry and my stomach growls but there's nothing good in the refrigerator. I just grab whatever that taste the best from the refrigerator and cook them up. But almost everything tastes good when you're hungry but when you're not hungry most of the stuff that tastes good to you before doesn't taste good if you know what I mean.
