Solar Eclipse

There was a solar eclipse today. It was said to start at 8:30am. My brother and I waited. We got out xray films to use for viewing. We were so excited, I even woke up my younger sister for it. But 8:30 came by and we didn't saw anything. I really thought it wouldn't be visible in our area. But around 9:00am we saw a small chip of the sun's circumference. hehe. We keep checking until it got bigger, but it never got bigger than 1/5 of the size of the sun, then it got smaller again. I tried to get pictures, but it doesn't show. How about you? Have you seen the eclipse today? Were you interested? Or maybe it wasn't available in your area?

I am from Guangzhou. I witness it this morning. But here we could just see a part of it. I also tried to take photos for it, but it didn't work, too. Perhaps it needs a professional camera to catch this scene. I heard that the places in the area of Yangze River could see this full amazing scene. I love China

Yeah. China could also experience the total eclipse right? Too bad it's not in your area. It would really be something to behold. I guess you're right, only a professional camera could catch the scene. Mine would show only after a lot of zoom, but the picture is already very blurry. You should try zooming yours, maybe it'll show.

We witnessed the eclipse here in the Philippines but it is only partial. The last time that we have total eclipse here when I was a kid. When my sister goes out to see the sun and everyone of us goes out to observed the eclipse. In India they had total eclipse the moon really covers the sun. Many believes that this phenomenon is a bad luck like here in the Philippines they believe that there's a calamity or a turmoil going to happen.

Really? But even if there's no eclipse, there are still calamities happening. I think eclipses are a natural wonder.

No, I didn't look for it. I heard something about it on television, but I guess I was blase about it. I shouldn't be. It would have been a wonderful thing to see in person. I remember years ago when we were told a comet was going to cross the sky and it would be visible. I got up at 4:30am and waited outside, watching the sky, and I did see it. It was beautiful.

Wow, a comet. Now that would really be something to behold. I wish I could see one. Anyway, thank you. It feels so nice that someone actually noticed. I had a long absence because we didn't have internet at home for quite a while. I'm now accessing the internet through our computer here at the office. hehe.

Haha, I didn't have any load, I'm sorry. Well, it didn't totally darken, and if you haven't known about the eclipse, you wouldn't have noticed. It was only visible through a film. But when you do use the film, it's really obvious. Anyway, if ever there's another eclipse again, I'll make sure to text you.

Too bad, I wasnt able to witness the eclipse. I woke up early but it's not that visible in our place. Here in the Philippines, its just a partial solar eclipse. I wish I was in country that experienced total solar eclipse. I want to witness that great phenomena. Too bad that I failed to witness the longest solar eclipse in history.

Oh that's too bad. Yeah, we were expecting a rainy (or atleast cloudy) day today because of weather reports, but it is sunny here today. It was in the news last night. If it weren't I wouldn't have known it too. hehe. Maybe you'll catch the next eclipse.

No, I didn't see it. But, I read about it in the newspapers, and on the internet websites. There were reports on the TV too. Very exciting indeed. The reports mentioned about people in India and Bangladesh, some crying, some rejoicing. This happens once in a very long long time.
