When somebody says i miss you what does it really mean, is it the physical presence, or is it the lack of communication, is it love. Is it that somebody really cares for the other person and cannot live a normal life if the other person is not in sight. What makes us say "I miss you"

When someone says "i miss u". The person that say you "i miss u",, then its really love you when you are with him and the person like you when you spend your time with him.. The time you spend with you any person is virtual or physical doesn't matter,, the things that matter the person care for you. So the person say these words when you are not touch with him or not in communication...

My heart aches to be close and be comforted by them being near. I know they are safe and ok. I think it is a little of everything you mentioned...love, lack of communication, and not seeing them...this makes me miss them very much.

when you say you miss someone, it means that you long for that someone's presence, and you can actually long for anybody, it can be a special someone, a brother, a sister, a mom or dad or even a best friend. Its not that you cannot live a normal life without them, I think that, that would be highly abnormal for someone to be missing someone so much that they are not able to live normal lives, but our lives will be so much better if that someone we miss would be beside us or if they would even send as a smile or an email. it would make our day so much better. We usually miss someone when we are not able to talk to them often or spend time as much with them as we'd like to

Hmm I think that would depend on each of us. What do we really miss? Like you have enumerated in your discussion details "the physical presence, lack of communication, love". Those can very well be reasons to say "I miss you." Though those words are commonly said towards a person I mean, you say that to someone because you miss that person and everything about that person. It can be his/her laugh, smile, gesture, the way he/she seats, the way he/she takes care of you, or just the way he/she generally acts around you. Personally, I only say that to someone if I really do actually feel that. Maybe we havent seen each other since high school, or we both got busy with our own lives that we dont even get to leave messages on each others' numbers anymore saying that we are alright. For me, if I say that to someone it means Im longing for his/her company and Id very much like to spend some time and be with them again.

Saying the word i miss you ,really means a lot, when i say i missed my friends,it is becoz i missed all our bonding moments, the laughters the enjoyment of togetherness. When i say i miss my family,it is a normal feeling and all the things we ever missed doing with them. One thing for sure when we say i miss you,to our friends or loved ones is,we missed all the moments we shared we them and that they are always a part of our lives. It is like missing a part of our lives, that we feel disabled.

what makes me say " i miss you"? i donot know , i just know when a family memeber has been out for a few days, and i cannot reach him on the phone, i will miss him or her, his voice , his words, his smile will come to my mind and make me smile spontaneously. or when a friend go out on business or on holiday, and i soon become uncomfortable without him around, i will miss him or her. without his humorous speeches, his trying to make you happy, life is so dull and meaningless. then i will call him telling i miss him.

I miss you, if i say this i miss the physical presence of the person, the talks or communication. It is accompanied of love if i say i miss you to my nieces and nephews. I do not say i miss you often and if i say it i mean it that i miss the person.
