Are you spending time on Mylot when you should be doing something else?

I often find myself posting on Mylot when I should be doing other things like cleaning or shopping. Yesterday I did manage to tear myself away for a couple of hours in the afternoon to do some hoovering and the washing up but tasks like that often get left way too long in my house. Of course Mylot isn't the only site I use when I'm on line but it's the one I have the most trouble pulling myself away from.

As housewife, I do house chores, buying, cooking, cleaning, etc. I should go out more for health reasons. But the hot weather and mylotting are my excuses, which drag me to stay at home. I remind myself not being addicted to online while I should be doing something else.

I try to get the cleaning done first but usually the first thing I do when I wake up is switch on the computer.

There are days that i am inspired to comment and respond others discussion and i spend time on mylot that i should sleep already. Beside from chatting at night, i am here and in other social networking site that pays and do not pays.

I have trouble sleeping sometimes too, I try not to use the computer late at night as that can make it worse.

Sometimes i control myself not to use computer but i could not resist to keep signing in here and other sites.
Even i felt sleepiness, i keep on here.
That is also an alternative to not use computer if you want to sleep or stay away from here. Every time i see the computer i wanted to come online as long as there is internet connection.

Yes, I agree, MyLot is both fun and money. It is hard to break away from my friends. I come hang out here, after working all day. I have other places where I pick up writing assignments and so nothing much else gets done. I will see you around here often, I am sure.

Yes, there are times, when I find myself doing this sort of thing. I sometimes find myself spending time on mylot, when I should really being doing other things, like cleaning, reading, schoolwork (during the school year), or something to that effect. Sometimes, it's difficult for me to pull myself away from mylot and from all the people to go do things that I know I should be doing.

Yes it is hard to balance life and the Internet, I find time flies when I'm online and I don't realise how long I've been on the web.

Yes,,I agree with you. For me, time goes by so fast when I do myloting. Start a new discussion, respond to other, doing task, check the new or or friend's started discussion,etc.. but it's fun! I online until 4 hours now,,before I know mylot I only online for about 1 or 2 hours. I do myloting eventhough it's time for me to sleep or watch tv,hehehe.. Honestly mylot is the best site I've ever knew!
Since it's my holiday so no problem how long I'm online here. But I'm not sure this is good or not, because next month is my first time in college and I'm not usre I can come to mylot as frequent as now.. Think I'll miss it so much, I think we must balance our time between online here and other thing that we must do in daily live.
You're right, it's hard to pull myself away from this site too,,hahaha..

Yes it's hard to get the balance right between the Internet and life sometimes, there are people who have a real problem with it and takes over their life.

Count me guilty, too, of spending more time here than housecleaning. 
I also spend too much time playing solitaire on the computer. I really should play it with real cards, so I'd just be wasting time, and not electricity, too.

um..not usually.
i tend to be on most often when ma's asleep and i don't have to keep a direct eye on her.so it's more like sneaking in for a few.
that being said,if i had a choice between dishes and mylot,well..

I know it's weird isn't it how we stay here when there are other places who pay more, maybe there's subliminal messages all over the site and they've got us under hypnosis or something.

yeah,i agree your point,i always do same thing when i like it very much,Mylot is this site,i found occasionally it and thinked it is nice site ,so if i have time i will come here and discuss my interested thing.it is normal,if i am interested others ,i will do same

To comment upon your intriguing question, would it be considered sociably acceptable for one to plead the fifth, as an appropriate response? Since, I don't think THAT was the answer you were looking for. *wishing to insert a friendly "grin" here*... Then, yes. By all means, color me guilty too, of spending way more time on/at myLot when I should be doing lots of other "real time" things. Like you mentioned, I also manage to occasionally be brave enough to tear myself away from here to attend to some chores which need doing. Plus, I do try to keep up with surveys and other online stuff. But for some mysterious reason, my browser keeps finding it's way back to myLot. *smile* This site is not only really cool, but highly addictive! Am so glad I found my way here.

If there are so much time..I'm posting mylot when i'm working at my office..
As long i dont make my work disturbed, i enjoy doing mylot..
i guess is not the matter if i'm spending time on mylot when i'm working..

I like mylot, but everyday, I spend only thirty minutes or almost an hour in mylot, so it did not affect me much.
I always try to finish everything I have to do before logging into Mylot.

On my freetime only, i am using mylot.. Before knowing Mylot, i dont know what to do with internet after checking my mails. Now it's quiet intresting to discuss,share thoughts.

There are many times that I have found spending time here in myLot posting when maybe I should be getting ready for work, heading out the door to go do something else, or even should be in bed sleeping. Personally this site is a Great place to be, and can be addictive to where if you are not watching the time you can loose track of time. But being a member here is a Good thing for sure.

Sometimes when I am not doing anything on my regular job you will find me participating in the discussions here. I am more enjoy here than my regular job. lol. In here there are so many topics talking to you, in my regular job, there are more problems to be solved that cause my severe headache, so from time to time I am here in mylot.

I try not to as staying on the computer too late triggers my insomnia (something to do with the flickering light of the monitor having an effect on the brain) but the Americans are the most active at night as it's the early evening for them so there's always loads going on.

nope, not really! i spend a lot of time in mylot because i have nothing else better to do. when i'm bored, i turn on my computer and the first thing that comes to mind is mylot. it's very addictive and i like it here. if i have something else to do then i simply stop mylotting and do it. maybe when i have a job i won't be as active as i am today. happy mylotting!

I find it so hard to drag myself away sometimes though, there are always lulls in activity where there aren't any discussions to respond to, I try to take advantage of them.

I am a new member, so I haven't really spent much time here at mylot. But I like writing, and drawing. It gives pleasure and makes me happy. I know that those hobbies take from me quite a lot of time. So as I want to have that time without no one complaining with me, I do all the things I am supposed to do first. That way once I am done I can sit, relax and do what I enjoy the most.

Just make sure you don't get hopelessly addicted like us lot and let your house turn into rubbish dump, it happens before you know it.
