Is a dog a man's best friend?

I have the company of three stray dogs at home, but the problem is that by night, they are nowhere to be seen. I feed them with whatever I have and they keep me company during the day, but sadly, they go invisible at night. Are they truly affectionate or as the going says, 'they are man's best friend?'

You have a very good heart. i would do the same thing, one of these day's they will stay the night also because they will find out that they like your place better than the place they go to stay at night. did you try leaving some old blanket's out at night for them to lay on so they will know that you want them to stay at night also.
