Grandson was beaten

My grandson was beaten this past week. He still has bruises from a week ago. I just found out about it. My daughter called, and told me, who did it, and I am to see him tomorrow. I am at a loss here. I am trying to think straight, and to maintain control.

I'm really sorry to hear about all of this. I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel. I do hope that your grandson does get better really soon. I hope that everything goes well for all of you.

Yes, go see that bully as soon as you can. Bring along a friend just in case. No matter how angry you are, you need to maintain control or else you might do something that you'd regret later. If you're able to talk to that bully's parents, better still but be prepared - his parents (I assume the bully is a male) might just defend their son. In addition, talk to your grandson's teacher just to inform him/her of the situation. Who knows, that bully could have victimised others too. That's all i have to offer. Hope things will be alright.

I know who the person is. If i went right now, i might do something that i would regret later on. I also know his parents, and they are naturally, taking up for him, and not the child.

This is a good opportunity to prepare your grandson physically and psychologically for going with this tough world. Don't make him feel weak or deprived and don't make a show out of him too. Into his thoughts, inject positivity with encouragement to face this harsh world in a brave and positive manner and make him understand that this world would constantly try to exploit him, if he is weak. Give him a hint to success, "Never give up, no matter What!!". By the way, how old is he?? :)

Hi, ShirleyBillingsley. I am very sorry to hear this about your grandson. Why would someone hurt him in this way? I hope that you will give him a piece of your mind for hurting your grandson like they have. I hope that you get all of the answers that you need. And hopefully, the guilty party will be given the proper and extreme punishment.
