Payment for responses

Do you get paid less for responding to a post than making your own post? I've seen on here than most people get three cents for each post. I can't imagine how little you must get for a response then. I'm really trying to make some extra money and I can't decide if I should focus more on posting as many long posts as I can or responding to as many people as I can. I'm pretty new here so if anyone can help me out that would be great. I know that no one really knows how much you get paid for each post but if you could give me an estimate on posts and responses I'd appreciate it. Also if more people respond to your post do you get more money for it? I've just been posting about random information I have because it makes the post longer, but should I be focusing more on grabbing everyone's attention? Thanks!

Welcome to myLot Carrie! The best thing thatyou can do is read here: http://www.mylot.com/o/mylot.aspx The only person who can tell you how much we earn is the Admin. It is all very individual depending on the quality of your activities and there is NO set rate per post. MyLot pays for interesting discussions. You can also try doing the tasks in the tab above. They will boost your earnings considerable. If you want to stick to discussions I suggest you spend your time responding until you are familiar with how things work. There are many users willing to help but the Guidelines and the FAQs are what you must understand in order to get the best out of myLot. Have fun!

Hi there carrie1390, Welcome to mylot..well with my earnings,I've noticed that responding to others discussions helps me earn more as long as it has good quality I've posted some discussions that had many responds but I've noticed that if you do not reply to those responds you won't earn that much..I think that the earnings here are based on how active you are in interacting with other mylotters..just always remember that in here the quantity of the discussions and responds that you made doesn't matter,it's always the quality of the discussion which matters..and oh by the way there are tasks available here in mylot it would definitelt help you earn more.. Hope I've given you the information you needed..

Sometimes there are task which pays you 3-5 dollars..though you have to check the available task every now and then because whenever these tasks are posted many mylotters grab it in an instant..it's always first come first serve kind of task..I'm sure you can easily reach the minimum payout which is $10,just be active..happy mylotting..:)

Thanks for your help. I've checked out the tasks but it seems like most of them are just signing up for a bunch of other websites with little payout and I'm not really interested in that.

I can only speak for myself. It has nothing to do with the money or ,I would be in the poor house.I consider it like yahoo answers and make a few cents along the way. Also I have met some nice people here. If your here for money ,you had better look elsewhere, cause your posts may become redundant if you try to hard.

Well I'm not expecting to make hundreds of dollars or anything, but several people said that they've been able to make an extra 10-30 dollars a month which is all I'm looking for.

First of all, if you're not interested in the topic at hand....skip it! Life is too short for anything else. If you make a cent, be happy...if you make three cents, be happy. By the way...I'm trying to get to 500 posts haha. Happy MyLotting!

I'm hoping to at least get to 300 posts before the end of the month. I've only been on here a couple days and I'm already well on my way so who knows, maybe I'll get lucky.

Any answers by you above, depend on your experience and then you will know which is the best for you. We all did not know exactly how the earnings algorithm do.. Beside that, you should familiar with this link : http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx http://www.mylot.com/o/terms.aspx http://www.mylot.com/o/topguidelines.aspx please read

Having been here for more than 3 years and can be considered a veteran mylotter, I never know how mylot formulate their payment scheme. Those who are really into earning online will not find mylot as an attractive earning site since it barely can cover the internet fees and a lot of time is consumed before you can really feel the earnings here. But if you don't think of the income and participate actively in all the activities here everyday you'll be pleasantly surprise how fast it adds up and getting your payout is as easy as eating peanuts. Welcome to mylot and hope you'll enjoy your stay here.

carrie1390, There is always a reason why the the payout for per post count is seemingly unattractive but if you are really keen on enjoying yourself here, I am sure that very soon you will find that earning a fair amount is just possible. However, I would recommend that you really get yourself familiarize and most of all enjoy what you are doing here. Learn how to motivate yourself to post and respond over time because these are the very experiences you will need to tell to your referrals who are going to join under you. Referrals is the way to go if you ever would want to see an increase in your earnings here. A concerted group effort is like an army of ants working in the fields on a big chunk of food. At $0.03, it is easy to see yourself sawing a tree with a razor blade, but if you can rope in a pool of friends and in turn help them rope in another pool for them, you will no longer see it from an insignificant perspective anymore. Just take 10 posts or responses per day per person with 20 friends under each person, now do your maths just how much you will all be getting per person at the end of 25 days. As the saying goes, the more the merrier, I am sure this saying is certainly no stranger to myLot here. Take care and have a nice day.

Hello carrie!!! Welcome to the world of mylot!!! I hope by now you are already getting on with this... Well about your question, it is very difficult to know the payment calculation algorithm of mylot. It is just so mystic... But one thing that is definite is that, mylot pays more for the longer posts. That's why whatever it is, whether it is responding to a discussion or creating a thread of own, the longer and also qualitative post in necessary. I don't know how much qualitative my posts are but I make sure that my posts are longer enough at least to make sure it earns 2 cents for each posts. It is not that on getting more responses on your thread let you to earn more. The necessary thing is that you will need to comment on each and every response you get, before you earn for that response you get. That is equal to the comment you give... So keep on mylotting, your experience will teach you.!!! happy mylotting...

i do believe that is the truth because people find it easier to respond to discussions rather than putting discussions on mylot, i believe that we get paid less when we respond to many discussions and sometimes each response may be lesser than $0.01 a response

I think MyLot is not about just making responses to discussions or making them only. I think you should have long posts that indicates value to everyone not just short posts with little information for the original discussion either by responding to it or starting it. I had the same questions as you did as I'm new too but some of great MyLotters told me this. SO this is what I'm trying to do lately although I've been busy most of the time and posted just few responses lately. I think the best way when you start a new discussion is to reply to each visitor and comment on them as a way of following up and to keep your discussion alive :D Another thing I've read from one of MyLotters is to read through any discussion I reply to and if I like something from the responses, I'd response to it too. I hope this helps, Happy MyLotting.

I think that you are paid equally for the posts that you make and to the discussions that you respond to. This site is neutral for both.
