So, i have the day off today, and have been doing some housework off and on all afternoon. This really got me thinking, everyone must have a least favorite household chore. You know, the one you put off as long as possible, hoping that someone else will step up and do it first? Or maybe you are one of those good people who does the least favorite things first, to get them out of the way so you don't have to spend time fretting abuot having to do it later since you hate it. Here's mine.. I HATE doing dishes. Unfortunately this is one of those things that has to be done though. We don't have a dishwasher in my apartment, so everything must be done by hand, and it really stinks. I especially hate washing silverware...i always do it first to get it out of the way while other things are soaking. Even though it is bad for the environment, i will admit i hate dishes so much that i always have paper plates on hand for use, and often times even disposable cups and sometimes even silverware, just to cut down on how many dishes i have to do. granted, somethings like spaghetti and steak just don't work well on paper plates, so i STILL wind up with those to wash, rinse, dry and put away. Second on my list is cleaning the cat boxes, but this doens't irk me quite as much because i love my cats, want them to be healthy, despise the odor, AND it only really takes a couple of minutes to do. How about you, what is your lest favorite household chore? Dishes, like me? Or do you despise vaccuming? Scrubbing the toilet? Dusting? chime in and comiserate with all the rest of us stuck doing things we hate.
