I don't necessarily mind as long as the movie is interpreted in a new and fresh way, with new direction. Talking on the phone to someone I don't know makes me uncomfortable. With telephone interviews you also don't get to see the persons facial expressions and body language and it is harder to connect or to judge how you are doing.
