Should Pete Rose be put in the Hall Of Fame?

I heard that the Commish is thinking of reinstating Rose.It has been 20 years! There are more " evil" players that are already in the Hall. i always thought that Rose would end up in the Hall. His ban is for life. I assumed it meant his life so when he died, the ban would be lifted and he would be entered into The Hall. What do you think?

Pete Rose does belong and should be inducted into Coopertown! Only if he would admit he bet on baseball, which he did, and apologize for it! Rose thinks he doesn't think he should or it is needed! He is so arrogant! I just wish Rose would realize that and come clean! It would make he's life and Bud Selig's life so much easier!

Pete Rose is a case where if the hall was a personality contest,Pete would Never get in.It should and is about what e did on the field. And Pete the player didn't bet on the games did he? If not, then he should be in.

I'm pretty sure he did and it was Pete's team the Cinnanati Reds he was managing at the time! This is why he shouldn't be in the Baseball Hall of Fame! Only if he admit he did this and say why and say I'm sorry Rose would be in the Hall allready! HE is so arragant!

I think that he should be voted in to the hall of fame. The guy was talented, his numbers are worthy of the hall of fame, all he did was gamble on the games. Im not saying it was right but he never did anything to enhance his performance or took any banned substances. In my eyes he deserves to be in the hall of fame, he was one of the hardest playing players ever.

Yes, he definitely went all out as a player and he deserves recognition.

I think everyone makes mistakes......I think that those mistakes shouldn' overtake his talent or abilities.....I am sure some of those that made the decision to ban him might have made a mistake or two themselves.....

I think he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. His chances look dim though. Even if he gets the ban lifted, he will have to be voted in by the living members. Thats a tough task. He has the stats and the career to do it. It sucks that his reputation is so tarnished.

if racist and alcohalics and steriods users can be in the hall of fame then i don't see why pete rose shouldn't be in the hall either. i mean i do think he guy is kind of a jerk and stuff for lieing but all profesional athletes are jerks, lets be real about it.

pete rose was disliked by many. but he is one of the greatest players ever. he played very hard and baseball was his life. he deserves to be in as much as ty cobb, who was another disliked grest player.

I think if Rose had come forth and admitted to gambling right from the beginning then he would have reinstated by now. I think that he will get in after he is deceased.

I doubt he would make it to the hall of fame even if the ban were listed. There seems to be a lot of voting members that would be as likely to vote for Rose as they say they will be voting for those on the steroid lists. I think Rose should be in the hall, but, I'm just a fan and cannot vote :(

I like Pete Rose. Why not? I doubt the writers will vote him in though. He made a lot of enemies over the years. Pete Rose Jim Rice
