Gremlins – those cute & cuddly puppets

Whilst flicking through the latest issue of Empire film mag I spotted an article on rumours surrounding a new Gremlins movie. It seems that the mumblings about a new Gremlins movie are gaining momentum but here’s something which occurred to me. When Gremlins was made it featured cute puppets but since then everything seems to be going down the CGI route. If they did decide to do another one what would you prefer puppets or CGI?
For me it would have to be the puppets as although CGI can be good I doubt that they could get over the cuteness of the gremlins especially before they turn.

I think I'd prefer CGI as the puppets would be obviously too fake. They got away with it in the 80's because nobody expected better, and we sort of used our imaginations to assume the gremlins and gizmo were real. Nowadays people expect better from the movies. My guess is they'll use a combination of CGI and puppets... and I bet it will look quite realistic.

I would love to see Gremlins 3. I guess Gizmo would have a new family now or maybe Billy's son could end up with him. I agree they probably would go the CGI route but if they ever make another one I hope they keep Gizmo just as cute as he was in 1 & 2.

Too Sweet! I love that movie. Even my kids enjoy it. I picked up a copy a few months ago and found that they love it just as much as I do. I hadn't heard anything about a new movie but I'm excited to read your post. This is something I'll definatly be keeping my eyes open for.
I think i ever had it for long time ago.I like to buy the pupets for my kid playing.The pupets are alive when the kids see, they will be exciting when the pupets move.
