Love Marriage or Arrange Marriage ???

Different people thinks that love marriage success rate is very low despite of the fact that it is done by the mutual understanding of male and female. Perhaps the reason is that both have high expectation from each other which if not fulfilled cause lot of troubles. On the other hand arrange marriages mostly produce good results .... What do u say??

To be honest...I think it is not right to generalize that arranged marriages are good...the marriage is for the bride and the groom and if they both are happy to marry each other then who should have a problem. Parents (so called experienced and matured) can analyze the guy / girl , I mean his work, his character, his background which is essential for a successful marriage...but what do they usually do..they check his religion and just because he /she is their kid's selection they blindly refuse to accept him / her... The idea here is to see that the groom and the bride live happily...parents if they are particular about their happiness then what is stopping them from rejecting their marriage... I am not against arranged marriages...they are also a success...thats why I told that these issues cannot be generalized ... I agree that parents' blessings are important while marriage...but if they don't wish to bless their kid..then who is to be blamed????

You are right that the bride and groom are going to marry so they should decide but some times it happens in youngsters that they choose wrong personality for them and ultimately face problems. No father or mother want their child to give punishment by not agreeing with their decision but actually they want to see best for their children. Parents always pray for their children and want to see them happy in true sense. So their decision would be the best.

Love marriage is done at one's own risk whereas arranged marriage is done with the help of elders. So when the elders arrange a marriage they look at pros and cons at all prespective with the eyes of experience. But when it comes to love marriage it is just the bride and groom you are in a total different world with no experience at all. When they get married they just want to get married and do not thingk about many things in the long run. Their present love could be an just an infatuation which will fade away with time. That is the reason why there is low success in love marriage. Now just do not think i am against love marriage. It is just that love should bloom blossom till the end of their lives making their marriage successful as they have an opportunity to understand mutually even before marriage. What you have said is true as most of the men and women are never ready for a compromise or adjustment to make the marriage work. They are more egoistic which is the real enemy of a good marriage.
