Did the title of this discussion make you want to click on it? Titles usually influence us if we want to read something or not. Sadly I have no great news for you. Just wondering, does a catchy title somehow straight away catch your eye, and what's your trick to a catchy title?

The title is of great importance to me. I know that some Lotters are great title-pickers but then the content of their topic is disappointing.... Of course then there are the others, the GREAT Lotters who can ALWAYS get the title and the topic right and those are the ones that never fail to catch my attention and usually reap a response from me to. Some are wasted on here too. They should make their talent available for others outside the Lot to see

Definitely! A good and appealing title immediately catches the eye rather than a boring or usual one. I always have a look at those topics whose titles attract me. Then if I find the topic equally absorbing I post my response to it. I always try to put in a catchy title to my post or else no one might respond and I will feel bad about it. Nice question! Happy posting.

Hi pweety_princess, yes you caught me fair and square and once I've opened it I usually comment as well! I am just catching on to the benefits of catchy titles, I posted the winner of a discussion the other day which only achieved a couple of responses as I gave it completely the wrong title, I started with a list of foods from the 70's which the majority of people won't have heard from - then a friend here pointed out to me if I'd just actually called it food from the 70's lots more people would have been interested. So now when I want to post a discussion I will definitely have to give the title much more thought
