Do you wash your mug or glass properly?

We use mug or glass every day. They look clean, but actually not, esp. after drinking sugar content beverages, which breed bacteria in a short time. And how to wash matters a lot. Detergent, if any, must be removed with running water. The sides and the bottom should be paid special attention. Better wash it before going to bed and dry it for future use. Do you wash your mug or glass properly?

Oh yes, I am very particular about mugs that I use to drink.. and now I started using a tumbler instead so I don't need to keep washing my mugs.. Maybe due to my earlier working environment in a cafe, which we emphasise a lot on mugs cleanliness, I scrub my mug till I can see the stain all gone.. and it's the whole mug! I will dry it on the rack to ensure no water trap inside, and if I see a difficult remove stain, I will soak the cup for a day before washing it again! I can't stand dirty mugs especially if I go the restaurant, and they start serving me mugs / glass with lipstick stain or finger print! I will sure ask for a new cup!

It I'm drinking water I usually just rinse and if its something like coffee I pay more attention. Maybe I should pay more attention to the cleaning since you say there's bacteria.

I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness of utensil that I use to put food on especially plates and mugs. I will always make sure that the mugs are washed thoroughly and dried properly before they are used.
