Ok my sister loaned me her DVD of twilight I've been meaning to see it. in fact a few weeks ago I was going to watch it but kept getting side tracked, and to be honest I've seen so many different vampire films that I was a bit cynical about how good this film would actually be, but finally a couple of days ago I put the DVD in and watched it and I thought it was very cool, I loved the films cinematography and the story, but of course there was a few things about the film that I thought was predictable, but over all it was a great film, and I thought the two young actors did a great job, so did all the actors, in fact I enjoyed the film so much that I watched the DVD 3 times, lol. and I'm looking forward to seeing twilight new-moon. did you enjoy this film too.

I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard good reports about it. I don't know if I would like this as it is a bit teenager type material.

Yes I am just like you. I was skepticle to see yet another vampire movie, even though I heard that everybody liked it. Before this movie I didn't like vampire movies one bit, but then this movie was actually pretty good. It almost made me feel like maybe I should have read the book first before I saw the movie like everyone else. I am also looking forward to seeing new moon, and maybe some of the rest of the series if they come out.

Yes this film was very different from the gorey vampire films of years past, becuse there wasn't a lot of blood and cheesy fangs lol. twilight was much more sutle and had a beautiful love story, and I thought it was a wonderfully entertaining film, and I'm also looking forward to seeing new moon.

Yes those gory vampire movies, are not worth spending your hard earned money on. Yes I loved the love story in this one, it made it more likable.

I did enjoy it. I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I think they miss the point. This is a vampire movie that tweens, teens, and adults can enjoy. It isn't a movie for "vampire purists". It's a cool love story that anyone can enjoy, and I don't understand some of the backlash. Especially from other authors who write about vampires. I think there is room for everyone in any movie or book genre.

I agree with you also. I feel that the film was very entertaining and when it comes to books converted into films people should keep an open mind and understand that film makers may not be able to translate the book version exactly becuse of budget and script reasons, and other reasons that most of us may not understand, but you can still enjoy the film version too, for its cinematography and beautiful love story and sexy actors and actresses and the fact that it was about vampires was an excellent bonus, theres always going to be someone who dosent get it but that dosent matter to me becuse I can aprecate the film for what it is.

I think this film was on a lower budget, since some of the effects were a little cheesey, it was adapted from the twilight series. I think the New Moon will be really good, probably more money will go into it, since so many people are addicted now, they know that it will do good in the theatres.

I just remembered a tidbit about this movie. I was told the screenwriter also wrote a version of the movie from the guy (vampire's) point of view, so he knew exactly what kind of pain and emotion went into him.

Yeah I just watched some parts from here and there and I too think it's pretty cool! I really liked the vampire guy, I don't remember his name. And I also liked the hero-in. She was cool too!

I am completely obsessed with the Twilight Saga now that I've finally seen the movie Twilight. I just saw Twilight for the first time about two months ago, and now I have not only seen the movie over 10 times, but I have read all of the books, twice! I bought the collector's DVD that has two discs (one has deleted scenes and the making of Twilight), downloaded the movie into iTunes (so I can have Edward on the go!) and purchased the soundtrack! Call me crazy, but I am so into this movie! I listen and watch Twilight almost every day.

Something I am quite embarassed to admit: I watched Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves 14 times and bought the soundtrack, Dances with Wolves at least three, A perfect World (once, but might rent it, I want to watch it again), The bodyguard A ton of times, The Untouchables a few times, Field of Dreams - tons of times, JFK - nonstop, and No Way Out a couple times. I had a major thing for Kevin Costner. And, I recently saw some of swing vote. I thought he would do lousy in the role, but he did a great job. Very Billy Bob Thornton-ish. (Another closet crush I have.) And, yes, I think Justin Timberlake is hot. And, what I wouldn't give to have Omar Epps over my pad. Yummy.

I first saw the movie because I wanted to know what all the hype was. So, I went in to the movie not knowing what to expect at all. I thought it was so great I had to get my hands on the book to read all the detail that movies don't always pick up. So I already had the caracters in my head when I read the book. On my second viewing of the movie was on Blue Ray and yikes. You can see the makeup lines and just way too much detail. I felt the movie could have been better filtered. Anyway I guess that's another discussion. I enjoyed the movie very much and can't wait for New Moon.

LOL well thankfully I didnt see it in blue ray disk, I saw the film on standard DVD though I think you can still see the make up lines a little, but I dont think it looks as obvious in standard DVD though, still a cool flick.

I have seen twilight and i personaly don't like the fillms that are based in a book. I prefeer reading the book wich lets your imagination flys and create in your head better images that these showed in the films. Also i don't find the book that good maybe because i am a boy..

I'm not a teen but I loved the film, and I've seen plenty of vampire flicks through the years and was pleasantly surprised becuse it was a love story that almost anyone can get into. and there was such beautiful cinematography in this movie. I enjoyed it very much. it just proves that you dont have to be a teen to enjoy a good vampire story.

To be honest, i didn't like it.. The effects are bad, the actors and actress didn't met my expectations. I must say that the books is good but I am not really a fan of the movie.. I will be more cool if the chose the right people to portray the roles. I don't like Stewart as Bella and Pattison is not the right person to be Edward Cullen.. That's only my opinion but if you like it, then that's your opinion. I hope nobody's gonna be offended by my post... Enjoy myLotting and have a great week ends...

I guess your were expecting a special effects extravaganza, and different actors or somthing, lol well I thought maybe they could of showcased a bit more of the vampires powers and things, but over all I think the special effects fit this particular film, but maybe new moon will be a bit better for you. anyway I appreciate your honesty.

I thought it was a good film too, although I thought the books were WAY better. But overall I enjoyed it, except for Belles acting.. Omg it was horrible. Lol

Well most people who have read the book first say that, becuse books tend to have more detail, but I never read the book version I only saw the film and in a strange way its kinda of a good thing I didnt read the book, becuse reading the book might have spoiled some of my enjoyment of the film. but without reading the book I was able to keep in open mind and just enjoy the film, without preconceived notions of what the film should have been like. And by the way I do agree that the acting could have used a tiny bit of improvement now that I think about again LOL.
