My boyfriend killed some of my fish!

I have this fish tank. It is a 75 gallon. I had some fish a every month some would come up dead. We bought a shark and a catfish and he thought they were killing the fish so he got them out of the fish tank and put them in a bucket. With no water mind you. I was mad he tried to tell me they were killing my fish and they deserved to die. I love all living thing so I wanted to find a home for them but he argued and through them out on the road. I was so mad. I don't even think the catfish killed anything it was always hiding in a ship. And he never came out. I think there could have been a whole different approach we could have taken so that none of the fish had to die. I understand the shark could have been killing our fish. But to punish it to death was wrong.the shark could not help what kind of fish it was. Since he picked out the fish he should have done more research on what fish goes together. This was his own fault for dead fish. I think that the fish should not have been tortured like that though. To me that is cruelity to fish. I have feeling for all living creature and I would not want them to die like that.
