If you're like me, I was raised up on old school music. We listened to everything from r & b, to classical, to country, to disco. You can't hardly hear good music like you did back in the days. There a just a few artists who are still keeping it real. What do you think. Has the new school got what it takes. Kendria

I don't know if new school has a capacity to replace the old school music simply because old school music are classics --- they're timeless. I am a teenager but old school at heart. I am not fond of today's music though I do watch some artists progress. I still find myself looking at the Boyz II Men or the Brian McKnight catalogue.

I love old school and new school to a certain extent. Some of the new school music though is complete garbage. It just seems like no one takes the time to actually put effort into their music anymore. I'm not into all the new school hiphop, I can do without it.until we actually get some true artists back in the game, I'm leaning more towards old school. And when I say old school I mean Jagged Edge, New Edition, Celine Dion, Jahiem, Joe,Aaliyah, Xscape; those are considered my old school.

I am in India and am a music lover.I basically like light music and here too there is a difference between the old people and the new generation. But the new ones are also good[we have the oscar winner ARRehman, and another geinuis Ilayaraja. However, the latter is himself now 65 years old and his son has replaced him. These people score wonderful background music for films. There is another one Harris Jayara and he is also good.] But when it comes to classical , it is difficult to bring back the great masters of the past and all youngsters would definitely fall short because the taste of the masses is also generally reduced in standard. So, they cater to the general demand.

I will say avant-gardist music. A music with an eye on the future. Like pink floyd did. I love music,
