I hate having any injection and dread having a blood test.I even hate taking the children for any as you know your self it is going to hurt. What about you? Do you ever watch as they give you the injection or do you look away?

i always watch.. i used to faint after getting blood drawn but now since i have had so many health probs its so norm for every doc visit for them to take blood that it doesnt bother me anymore.. i like to watch and make sure they do it right.. seems like some of these people have no clue!! as far as shots i dont mind them either.. i mean its weird to think that something is being put in your body like that but now i get allergy shots and i have had other shots in the past to where it doesnt bother me at all

I don't really mind, I find it ok. But I hate the injection when they put in your hand when you are giving blood donation. The first injection is a little painful, and after that its very bearable. The last time I got injection is at my butt, and it kind embarrassing. Luckily a female nurse that agve me the injection, and it less pain than in the hand. happy Mylotting

I hate them. I have found that while it may not hurt as much as they say, those people who tell you that it won't hurt a bit ususally are lying. It's for the best, though, I guess, preventing something far worse in the long run!

Watching is never an option for me because the nurse always injects me where I can't see. She gives shots in the bottom because they hurt less back there and the patient can't see what is happening. At least that is her stated reason for the injection site.

I don't like injections, but they don't bother me probably as much as they do most people. I've had my blood drawn so many times, been given shots so many times, had IVs hooked up to me...Needles never bother me even though sometimes the size of the needles that are used are really painful. I'm just so used to it. I used to have a prescription for Imitrex shots for my migraines. Those suckers hurt!

when i was a child. i prefer injection to the medicine. cause i dread the bitter medicine. but when i grow up, i can bear the bitter taste if i have to take any medicine. in fact, seldom. cause i have very healthy body. i never dare to watch when injection. now, even when having a blood test, i always look away, then i fell very horrible.

Ouch! My feelings exactly! Any time I have to have an injection, I close my eyes and force myself to think about something else. People tease me and say I'm over reacting. Maybe that's true. All I know is that I cannot handle the sight. Logic tells me that such a tiny needle cannot possibly hurt me; experience reminds me of the truth of such a fact. Never have I had an injection and cried out in pain or left the room in tears, cursing the "injector"... Still, the fear remains..
