Glasses and contact lenses

I had to get contacts when I was ten. But I had to wear hard contacts, and I hated them! They irritated my eyes so much that sometimes I'd cry. When I was fourteen I went to glasses. They weren't my favorite thing, but at least they didn't hurt my eyes. However, when I was sixteen I found out I could wear soft contacts. When I switched to them it was like a whole new world! I didn't even feel like I was wearing anything on my eyes. I do have a prescription pair of glasses and sunglasses right now. I was prohibited from wearing contacts for two years because my retinas were in danger of being detached. But now I'm back to soft contacts. They are the kind I wear every day, then at night they soak. I change them once a month to a new pair.

i never had an experience wearing contact lenses. am sure it is very nice to have them but i think there is so much maintenance having it like cleaning it in solution and other routine to make it workable. and here, a contact lense is expensive. wearing a pair of eyeglasses is just right for me because of my very busy schedule. i take it off when i am not reading and then wear them when i do. its much simpler. ann

I had an opperation a few years ago that replaced my lens, now I only use glasses for reading. I had cateracts, and to remove them, they had to remove the effected lens.

I am near-sighted, but I don't wear glasses at usual. I will wear glasses when it is necessary, such as watching TV. I don't like to wear contact lenses, as I am afraid of any risks. I don't think it is so bothering to wear the normal glasses. At least it is safer. I love china

Yes I do wear contact lenses and have been doing so since I was about 15 years old. I remember I first needed glasses when I was around 10 and felt really upset about it at the time. I do sometimes get dry eyes from wearing my contact lenses for too long so I try and alternate between glasses and lenses when I can. When I am going out somewhere special though I will always wear my contacts.

I used to wear contact lenses, but I stopped almost a couple of years ago because it's much of a hassle for me and I developed astigmatism from using it. Now, I have eyeglasses for reading.

Yes I do wear glasses, No I do not have contact lenses, I prefer glasses. Yes I do wear sunglasses and my eyes are sensitive to light, I can manage without one too sometimes.

I think glasses is better for your eyes . Contact lense is very danger for me to wear .Because I always forget to take it out .Besides ,I am very lazy .Wearing a contact lense is a hard work for me to do it .
