Will you still respond to a topic if someone had shared the same idea as yours?

I’ve been wondering how other users deal with these things. I mean it cannot be prevented that we may have the same ideas as the others. Though we can share or write it in a different way but does it lose your interest to respond to a discussion if someone has shared first the same idea as yours? To me, I kinda lose interest in sharing my idea cause’ someone has shared it already. I don’t respond anymore though I really find the topic interesting. I feel if I still respond to the topic having a similar thought as the others, they might think I just copied their idea and wrote it differently. What about you guys? How do you handle these things when responding to a topic? Will you still try to respond or not anymore?

It depends on whether I could add anything to the discussion or not. I have done so in the past, and I do not see anything wrong in doing so. After all myLot is a site where we exchange views on the same topic. It is hard to prove that a person copies the ideas of another person. Usually I prefer to accept ideas and views in good faith, unless it can be proven otherwise.

Hi ros! I know it's hard to prove that we copied the ideas of another person. Sometimes I have made the response first then some user would respond having the same ideas too and I don't mind it myself. But as much as possible, I'd like to be the first to share my idea. I don't know I just feel I have to be the original hehe..

I do still like to repsond to the topics that are similar to mine as the conversation is quite often going in a different direction. You also get different replies from people too. The discussions that i usually start are about subjects that interest me anyway so if someone else has posted something similar no doubt that will be of interest ot me too

Hi! I do notice that different views are coming in as the conversation keeps going. But there are times that I would find someone's idea exactly as mine and that would make me freeze for awhile hehe. I could try to change my view but that's kinda hard to do cause that would feel like it's not me talking.
