The new EPL season begin this weekend with Liverpool traveling to Spur. How do you fancy this match? Can Liverpool start the campaign with a great win? With the long list of injuries by the major players, can Liverpool survive the onslaught from Robbie Kean, Peter Crouch and Jermaine Defoe? Let discuss here.....Thanks.

Unfortunatelly Liverpool lose 1:2. Steven Gerrard scored for Liverpool but that was not enough. Hope that was false start only and next time we'll enjoy winning games!!!

What an uninspiring performance by some of the players like Babel and Lucas. Barely saw them playing and passing correctly. Liverpool is losing a lot of possession by kicking it straight to the opponents as well as unable to get the second ball. Midfield was lost with Lucas seem like missing in the game. Defence was okay except for the 2 goals. Attacks became lively only when Benayoun came in to replace Babel. Benayoun should have started the match instead of Babel. No excuses and Liverpool should buck up to win the remaining matches if they intend to stamp their authority in the game.

Too bad for the starter. I think Liverpool totally miss Alonso. Lucas definitely can't fill Alonso shoes this time. Liverpool lost in the middle and the left side. Lennon run at will there. The only good thing from this game for me is Reina performance. He make a lot of crucial save today especially from the former Liverpool player, Keane. More concern about Sketel situation. I think his jaw misplace because of mishap with Carragher.

The only good thing is that Spurs have even more injury worries than Liverpool. I am nervous as I think we are one striker short as a team, and if Torres is injured or off of form then we could be in trouble.

I hope Babel can rise to occasion this season to be the second striker in the team as well as Benayoun and Ngog. Voronin, altohugh is old, can still contribute some goals in the season. Hope that Liverpool will start the season with a great win today!

I have no faith in Voronin and very little in Ngog, although I do hope that Nemeth is given a chance in the Premier League, as from watching reservce and youth games he looks like a good prospect.

I think Nemeth and Ngog should be given more playing opportunities as compared to Voronin to assist Torres in the attacking option. These gems should be polished with more exposure.
