I am actually from Malaysia but am now stationed in Vietnam doing some business. This place have close similarity with people from my country. I look more or less like one of them so I don't feel an outsider here. But the only problem is the language that I am not too fluent yet.

I guess a lot of people talks to you in vietnamese since you look like one of them. Just like my cambodian friend who looks exactly like a filipino, people talks to him in filipino of which I interfere and interpret.

Yes, you remind me when I went to Manila last year, everywhere I went the people talk to me in their language especially in the malls where the salesgirls are very polite and will great me with a big smile and say something that is very foreign to me. I just smile and tell them I am no Filipino.

Hi,alegnaluvu ! How's your life in Vietnam ? I stayed in Ho Chi Minh City for about 6 months in 2004 (Feb to Aug ). The weather then was too hot for me ! I took bath 3 times a day ,almost everyday ! Where do you stay in Vietnam ? Ho Chi Minh City is too hot, may be Hanoi is cooler . Their language is not easy to speak, because it has 6 tones . When I spoke Vietnamese to them, they couldn't understand me ! How about you ?

I am from Cebu, Philippines. I believe we are in the same place. I am so glad that you are here to. It is really nice to see friends online and perhaps see them offline to. Perhaps one day we will be able to meet. The great thing about mylot is that there are a lot of members from the different part of the globe. Surely we will be able to learn more from them and perhaps get the opportunity to see them personally later on.

That would be very interesting indeed. I hope that one day we will be able to come up with such. It could be done in different countries in the same date. I know that it would be difficult to meet everyone in the same place so my thought would be mylot members in the same country would meet in the same place with respect to their specific country but and hold it on the same date. We would probably call it MYLOT DAY... sounds really interesting.

I'm from Utah, United States. I don't really like it, but it is the only place I have lived. I'm sick of all the dumb laws and religious oppression.

Is that because of utah or US in general? Many of my country men would love to be in your country. Isn't utah generally mormons? (please correct me if I'm wrong) Anyway thanks for the reply sketch.

Hello Jaymar. I am in North America, in the state of Michigan in the USA. Our state is surrounded on three sides by the Great Lakes, which make up the world's largest body of fresh water. They are huge and very beautiful. Our culture is pretty widely known. Some love us; some do not lol. But I am proud to be a US citizen! Where are you from?? Karen

Michigan one of your cities is detroit, right? Hmmm... I love funk and i love motown, isn't it that motown was first in detroit michigan. I love the old stuff anyway so much for the music. I'm from Cebu, Philippines. A Place rich in history, beaches, resorts, and highly urbanized (based on philippine standards)

I would love to visit the Philipines someday, to enjoy the people, the cultures, and the beautiful beaches I've seen pictures of. Yes, Detroit is about 3 hours by car from where I live. Famous for their cars, and famous for Motown. The original place is still there and tourists can visit it. Barry Gordy chose the name Motown, short for motor town, because of the auto industry in Michigan. Karen

I live in Washington state, in the northwest part of the United States. The weather is great right now, while the rest of the country is in the hot part of summer, it is mild and sunny here. I love the summer because it is not too hot. But the winter and spring are rainy. I suppose we have to take the good with the bad. cheers!

hi jaymar I am here in GardenGrove california and this is in the Southern part of the state.about ten miles from the Pacific ocean. I used to go down to the newport beach pier a lot'but I am now handicapped. Its warm here year arou nd although in the winter it sometimes gets down to 45 and in the summer to 95. we have little rain and often have wildfires due to careless people and super dry conditions. rent is high and jobs are scarce now.we have a lot of pretty garden on our streets mostly aPartment complexes.
