Household chores - It is everybody's duty.

I hate it when someone says,"That is a woman's job", or "That is for a man to do". I raised 4 kids on my own. There wasn't one thing in my house that only one person did. We rotated responsibilities. And as for it being a man's job, I say to hell with that notion. Even when I was with my ex-husband I did repairs that he didn't have a clue about. Just do it. It is everybody's responsibility.

I agree with you 100%. In our house everyone pitches in and works together. I think that it is unfair for all of the household chores to fall on the woman of the house. This isn't the 1800's anymore. Most women work just as hard as a man outside the home and then to come home and do all of the laundry, cooking and cleaning is unfair. My kids are 5 and 8 and they both take their turns helping out and truth be told they really don't seem to mind and the work gets done in half of the time. As for fixing things aound the house, my boyfriend works 12 hour shifts. I can't wait for him to finally have a day off to fix stuff, I just do it myself.
