The man can't decide for the life of him if he's done with Football or not. His last year in Green Bay he blew the season for them. Then he got traded to the Jets where he did poorly for one season.... now the rumor mill is going still that he's looking to the Vikings. *sigh* http://www.wisn.com/sports/20444893/detail.html The man is in almost 40, that's OLD for a professional sports player & he's had numerous surgeries. I dunno bout you but why can't the man walk away and do good with the fame and money that he's earned instead of this silly game of I'm retired today, but not tomorrow junk.

He did so good the first half of the season for the Jets. Then he wore out. And he has not adapted his football ways to fit his age limitations. It's no longer okay to air it out when he really has no idea where it is going to go. He's not "Superman" anymore. I used to love Brett Favre. Just loved him! Now, I'm sick of him. He's far more arrogant than the typical quarterback (with the exception of the pain in the rear Jay Cutler). And he just signed with the Vikings for a TWO year deal, worth about 25 million dollars. That is nuts. And he kept mum about the negotiations to keep out of training camp. Believe me, if anyone needs practice, it's him.

I agree. I think he's having a hard time not retiring on a superbowl win. But you know he's not in his 20s anyamore and has had numerous surgeries. I think he's too big for his britches and wants to also perhaps show GB that he can succeed elsewhere even at his age. Great he's popular but most don't like the BS he's pulled in the past years and has lost a great deal of fans around here.

I don't understand it, either. If he can't bear to leave football, why doesn't he get a position teaching football to junior high or college? Start his own business? Could it be that he squandered all his money and needs more? That's the only thing I can think of. He's really past his prime, theoretically, and the fact that he wants a team to take a chance on his being too old and messing up their chances for a Bowl game or championship or whatever they have leads me to believe he's too selfish to think of the team anymore. There I go being judgmental again, but that's what I think.

I agree! It's official he's a Viking now... So he joined them to tick off Green Bay? Or is he just going to try to keep playing til he gets a career ending injury? He always said it was for the "love of the game" seems like spite to me.
