Source: Dailymail.co.uk 18th August 2009 Apollo 14 astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell says he was aware of many UFO visits during his career with NASA but each one was covered up. he tells us that our technology is :not as nearly as sophistictaed as theirs" and had they been hostile "we had been gone by now". Dr Mitchell along with his colleague hold the record for the longest ever moon walk at nine hours and 17 minutes back in 1971. He says " I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real" He says that it has been covered up for over 60 years. Dr Mitchell who has a a Doctor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics claims that Roswell was real and similar alien visits continue to be investigated. Officials from NASA disagreed saying " Dr Mitchell is a great American, but we don not share his opinions on this issue". Do you think Dr Mitchell is lying? If so why?

Hey, they've been there and done that..and most specially the cover-up thing. he's not the only one who had exposed the true secret of the aliens, they were others. but i guess, the main reason for this cover up is that maybe the whole world is not ready it since we are still a primitive race and our differences kept us into violence most of the time..well, give time the truth is out there and it will come out eventtually.

If it had been in Private Eye I might have given it a little more credibility.

Actually I never touched the telegraph since some idiot editor there , so pathetic in his views that his name fades to this day, demanded that the rival editor at that time of the 'Sunday Times', Andrew Neil, should be strung up for treason for not bowing down to the German family who lives in such splendour in Buck Palace at the expense of the taxpayers. I always respected Mr Neil who was a great debater.

I do not think he is lying... I think that most people believe that "something (or someone) is out there" and that the government has covered up things out of its fear or its desire to maintain power. When an astronaut and a former Canadian Prime Minister and a young computer hacker all come up with the same information... That information is being hidden from the public.. and when there have been repeated meetings of experts meeting to say the same thing, it is likely that we the people are not being told the whole story and that in fact there has been a planned cover up.

Thanks for the best comment award... I have some ideas about what may happen in the next ten years but it depends on a lot of factors... Whether or not people choose to have information or not and whether or not that information is believed once it is given to them is perhaps not as important as what they do with the information once they have it... My thought is that people will accept that there is definately someone out there and maybe even here with us now but will continue to go on with life as they have been doing because that is what they know how to do and that is what is habit for them to do... I do not believe as some do that disclosure would make a lot of difference as people have a way of adapting new information to their lives and not normally adapting their lives to new information... vasanas.

Thank you for taking the time to respond indeed. Close Encounters of the Third Kind! I wonder how things will be in 10 years time.
