I am looking for a job and have registered on multiple job search sites. I was wondering which do you think is best and why? Have you gotten a job this way? How many jobs contacted you themselves and how many did you have to contact?

hi sketch, well i'm on monster and careerbuilder and i have applied for quite a few jobs. with my experience with customer service i am getting hit from alot of insurance companies requesting i go for interviews. so i have not had much luck so far. gone a like three interviews for ones i filled out on line but not many hits. i have bee out for almost a year now so i update my resume to keep it coming up on the higher end of the employeers searches. so you might want to try that also. I have found a few listings from craigslist also and had interviews. if you have the problem with night work i think craigslist would be a good place to look. good luck with the search,!

personally i have been using monster and times jobs and i find both of them very good but yes for some reason i think monster is better. i mean monster does more marketing and publicity work and so people come on this site more than times jobs. but yes monster jobs is also very professional. i felt that they need to have a good support for even the free users. but any ways that is what i personally felt.

I have not had any luck on any job sites. I mostly stick to ones related to nanny jobs, though, because that is what I would prefer to do with my life and the only job I have ever had that I liked.

I haven't had much luck myself on job sites. That's cool that you found something that you like to do though.

i think sites as monster and hotjobs should b one of the nest in the ent to search a job!!Surely sometimes is difficult to find it as in reality but i guess that if you can select the offers where you have experiences and good skills you will able to find your job on those sites as well!!good luck!!

The only job website I've actually gotten a job from is www.careerbuilder.com . But being unemployed right now I have been using a lot of other job sites to try to find a job. The best one for me at the moment has surprisingly been craigstlist! I will go ahead and make you a list of the current sites that I'm using to try to find a job :-) Oh and I've always been the one to contact them about a job. 1. www.careerbuilder.com 2. www.hotjobs.com 3. www.monster.com 4. www.craigslist.com 5. www.indeed.com 6. www.care.com - for those looking for jobs caring for children
