An unemployed son killed his 59 year old father, because he can get his job in the railways as well as all his terminal benefits. He had engaged a gang of hired killers to do this job, and was caught by the police and he accepted to the Crime. This has happened in my home town in India. What is the world coming to?

That is very sad to hear. More saddening is to hear that people are taking lives of their own loved ones to just get jobs. If every student in every school is taught how to lead his life and stand on his feet by doing some self-employed work it would be great and the problem of unemployment would be solved. But on the contrary students are only taught how to get good marks in the exams and compete with their peers. Another thing is some students feel that some jobs are below their dignity and they do not go for them. This is also a reason for unemployment. But killing someone for the sake of getting a job is totally heinous.

I feel, that this kind of behaviour is because of the multiple TV channels which show these kind of things in their soaps, like wife killing her husband or killing among brothers. The problem with Indians are, they do not want to do hard work, and they want a government job with a job security and pension etc. Thanks for the response.

Hi rameshkumaar, This is certainly a terrible crime but such things do happen from time to time. It always affects us more when it happens where we live. It also happened thirty, fifty and a hundred years ago but not many knew about it compared to today. This of course doesn't lessen the crime it may well be more common today. Blessings.

This kind of news is quite shocking. You are right about the part, that these kind of things happened thirty, fifty years ago, and it may not be reported in a big way. But killing ones parents just to get a secure job is sickening. Thanks for the response.

This is really sad. Every time I hear stories, such as this one, it makes somewhat sad. I can't really help but wonder how this all happened. What made this guy want to kill his father? This is something that I'm not really sure I'll ever really understand.

Wow...what a godless son. It happened in my country too. son or daughter kill his/her mother or father, grandpa or grandma, even his/her own child..... Here, we need a religion and a good mental to face this situation with disorderly economic situation and a lot of pressures.

We need severe laws to curtail these kind of things. Some thing like the Islamic shaariat law will be useful in these circumstances. Thanks for the response.

This is simply awful, I mean how come a son can kill his father just because of his job! This is unforgiven for the act he has done. I would not have forgiven him though for such a crime.

The problem is, in India, the criminal laws are so lax, this killer will probably get a 7 to 10 year jail term and with all the good behaviour, parole etc, he will come out of the jail in 5 years. That is why these kind of things are becoming quite common in India. Thanks for the response.
