Running shoes?

I'm the Mother of 3 children. I've got a 2 1/2 year old boy, a 1 1/2 year old girl and a 2 month old girl. Needless to say I haven't had a lot of time to run in the past 3 years. I went out to Walmart and bought a pair of CHEAP shoes and now I'm limping everywhere. I was able to run for a week and then my ankles just started hurting horribly. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great pair of running shoes that will allow me to run even with weak ankles and knees?

I love Sketchers, and I see that they recently came out with a new shoe that is for fitness and promoting walking or something... I am going to look into those. Good luck! Also, for a good cheap/not cheap shoe, try Target - they have Champion brand which are still cheaper, but made a bit better. :)

Ouch! I hope your ankles feel better soon. I have had a lot of ankle swelling lately from running with shoes that make me practically barefoot. But my normal running shoes are Nike Free 5.0 v4's. They haven't given me problems other than a few blisters. But they won't work on trails that have rocks as rocks stick in them super easily. They are great for the track and not bad for the road either. I like that they lace up on the side and don't feel as bulky and heavy as a lot of shoes I've tried on. I'm still looking into some trail running shoes though.
